Hex, your fluent use of technical terms is ruining my HIGH! "3pete" to comprehension! Meaning- after the 3rd time watching, I was able to completely comprehend the message. Thanx for sharing, big guy! Keep em commin!
Would a speaker, say a mid-range or mid bass, intended for IB applications such a the Hybrids you just demoed, benefit from an enclosure? Would building a box inside the door improve the lower end or make them "punchier"?
@SharkRangler "Your door is an enclosure. You're talking about building a smaller enclosure inside the bigger one. As for whether or not it would sound better, I have no way of knowing this without modeling it first." That's what Pete said.
@stringsbytoby Your door is an enclosure. You're talking about building a smaller enclosure inside the bigger one. As for whether or not it would sound better, I have no way of knowing this without modeling it first.
@HexiBase I've heard a ton of good things about Hat's lower lines, I'm thinking of replacing my speakers with imagines. make sure to let us know how they compare to the dd's.
@idokus5 The response graphs are a screen capture from my own software, and the graphics around them are something I prepared just to illustrate what it is that you're looking at in the graphs.
@SuperHabbo11 Buddy, I don't think you're in any position to call anyone anything. I just checked your profile and it seems that whole reason for its existence is to satisfy your troll fetish, placing you well beneath anything that you could ever call any other person. I'll leave your comment up just so my viewers can see what sort of vain homophobe you are. Enjoy your 5 minutes of fame.
It just hit me like a mack truck . The sound system in your SUV will be on par with your listening room ... I don't think i have ever seen passive radiators in door panels .I'm going to fly to AZ to get a demo of this . If you will allow me to .
@DTDahl LOL ... well i feel all kinds of stupid . I'll have to listen a little bit better next time . I have come to expect the impossible out of pete . LOL sorry bout that .
So say this is one of the best coaxial speaker for your doors? and how much is cost? Btw you never tell me how Much your subwoofer cost in general.....
I love my hybrid audio imagines and as far as I understand the mirus are a (slightly) stripped down version of the imagines. If this is true, the mirus are a steal at $150.
btw, I applaud you for taking the time to explain your actions and exactly why things are done. You are one of very few that understand acoustics.
Are you still planning on doing a follow-up on these?

Quick question for you Pete.
Would door speakers sound better if an enclosure was built in the doors, on top of usings sound deadening and vibration dampening products?

@trainwreck60 Ok, so I managed to pull myself together.
He won't be mounting passive radiators in his door. Listen to what Pete says instead of looking at the video footage.

@trainwreck60 There aren't any "actual" passive radiators in the door panels.

@xxIceWaLLxx Oh yeah. For what they are, bringing these coaxials down into the $150 price range had to have been a stretch.
