  • Why do muslims like this band? They are heathens/satanists.

  • is this supposed to be black metal?? god save us all... and by the way 'kur' means penis in bulgarian so the fail is in its full height...

  • @StreamSynergy Not sure if trolling, or if you've just been headbanging too much and are suffering from brain damage. First: This song is clearly acoustic; that doesn't change the fact that Melechesh is a Black Metal band. Second: Bulgarian wasn't even a language when Kur was named.

  • @StreamSynergy please go suck Norwegian KUR :)

Melechesh invent the sound of Black Metal where civilizations were born. they lead and not follow... you go follow like a slave., you dont have free thinking . Dont forget most "true black metal guys "ARE RICH SPOILED KIDS ;)

  • jebali vam anunakiji mater-dosadni ste ajd u tri pizde materine, jebemvas usta seljačka!

  • ...Did you know we're riding on the Melechesh express? : )

  • THESE GUYS ARE SO AMAZING I SAW THEM LIVE IN AUSTIN >>>>THEY ROCK TEXAS>>>>MUCH LOVE MUCH RESPECT FOR YOU GUYS SPECIALLY K HE IS AWESOME PERSON!!

  • Anyone got tabs? I'm trying to figure it out on buzuki

  • The God of the Bible crushed the gods of the Egyptians. Read the book of Exodus. There are Egyptian writings that archaeologists found that talk about the Hebrews (Jews).

  • @bretzagar it's iraq.wtf !! egypyt is NOT mesopotamia.

  • @shagrath559 mesopotamia includes MUCH MORE than Iraq

  • @shagrath559 did you even bother to look it up? it includes: iraq, syria, iran, turkey, israel

  • @imashelchazona Mesopotamia is Iraq, eastern Syria, southern Turkey, and western Iran. It did not include Israel.

  • They should make a side project that's all about traditional music, just like what Karl Sanders from the band Nile did.

  • Amazing!

  • Sorry.. Havent Got Change.... !!!!! even the belly dancer got freaking BORED !!!

  • Extremly beautiful ! It makes you travel in babylon at mesapotamia !

  • Can you guys recommend me some more songs like this? I am searching for this type of traditional songs, not the bands black metal songs. Is this the only traditional song or is there more non metal produced by the band?

  • @hejjagheterpal Yes they have you should search for:

    Whispers from the Tower

    A Greater Chain of Being

    The Arrival Ritual

When Halo's of candles collide (it's on my channel)

    Of Magick and reptilians

  • @warzoneproduction Thank you :D

  • مشكورين كلش على الموسيقى العظيمة وتمثيل حضارة وادي الرافدين بصورة جميلة امام العالم !

  • their concept is as deep as it gets. we are one with the anunnaki.

  • i wouldn't say it's a "Traditional, instrumental Near-Eastern song". It's only inspired by that ancient culture and written and performed in a modern manner. If you wanna hear original (but most of you will find it disappointing) sumerian music try this: watch?v=2H8_13x3JaI

  • this track makes me tear ...

  • This music is wonderful. It makes you think again about all these arrogant people which think that they're first here and their ideas are better, their religions are more true, their lifes are more worthy than the ancient ones. Nothing more incorrect. We are all here just for a moment. And after that, maybe longer in the stars? Who knows.

  • @averit Why worship more then one god? I love Christian metal the best but my views on metal are dispersed. I like these guys because of the different instruments they bring into play but most of it starts to get repetitious after awhile especially on their new cd that hit in 2010. Don't get me wrong western metal just sounds the same to after awhile. Check out woe of Tyrants!

  • @chkmate10 shut up

  • IM SO FUCKING HIGH AND IM HAVING A TRIP WITH THEM AND

    MUSIC MEANS MELECHESH

  • mmm Awesome music!!

  • 1 vote against... must be a joker trying to be funny, cus really how can you NOT like this ?

Even if your a racist pig muslim hater, if you have any grain of musical feeling you have to admit that this is good music ... and if you dont, what are you doing on a music video ... some people, sigh.

  • rofl at this song

  • Nile wish they could have this kind of sound.

  • @Wyndrax Karl Sanders solo work.

  • Omg! every video of melechesh i go they discuss from where they are, why you have the head so square?

they are from this earth and their music takes you to heaven!!

  • This is amazing work! Going to pick up this album for sure. Thanks for sharing!

  • Very original and interesting band.

  • I don't give a shit where they come frome, their music is awesome.

  • Great music. Best song.

  • Ashmedi is Assyrian, not Armenian or Isreali, as is another band member Assyrian also!

  • Actually Ashmedi is an ETHNIC ASSYRIAN, not Israeli or Armenian, one other member of the band is also an Assyrian.

  • @kanetpol31 he asked about the scale the music was being played in, not the instruments being used.

  • wow!!great...

    what guitar scale they use?

    someone tell me...

    tq..

  • @afiqzs It sounds like harmonic minor, either that or phrygian dominant... I could be wrong

  • when are these guys releasing a new album? love their stuff so much!!

  • @steveharrismetalgod October, I think

  • @steveharrismetalgod Epigenesis

  • ashmedi is from armenia, the lead guitarist is palestinian and the drumer i think is dutch.....

    great instrument.........

  • simplemente la mejor jajajajajja esto es vida esto relaja

  • 1001 nights times visite...thank Melechesh!

    Summerian/Assirian Rules!

  • HAHA! love the crazy sitar stuff, good original band!!! I like them more and more everyday \m/

  • Wow, I wish they had a full CD like this. It's so calming, yet mysterious and mystifying.

  • @7IHd amen

  • @SkullFucked911 This is still one of my favorites from the album, being the song that got me into them, but I love the rest of their stuff as well for quite different reasons than I love this song, obviously.

  • He is NOT israeli, he was just born in israel. He is half armenian, half assyrian.

  • Can anyone tell me some good sumerian meditative music. Thanks

  • if they could have a man or woman like sing one long tone ( i would love to know the name of what that's called ) it would be perfect! :D

  • @Worshippersofthesun You mean like chanting?

They do ritualistic breathing on The Arrival Ritual off of Sphynx. Check it out. You'll like it

  • @Worshippersofthesun You will like Blood of Kingu XD

  • @Worshippersofthesun I think it is called Taibetan throat singiing

  • this is by far the best black metal band

  • Well Turkish saz (baglama) with ney (Another Turkish sufi instrument). And I know this Melechesh is founded by Armenians... This is nice example against Soad...

  • hahahaha! wtf man???

  • Melechesh Ashmedi is not from Armenia, he is Israeli.

  • But he is armenian.

  • @Blutstrupfs

He's of Armenian descent though, he just lives in Israel

Half Armenian half Assyrian actaully. The other two members are one full blooded Assyrian and one Dutchman.

Most people think they're Jews cause they're from Israel but they just happen to live there, they despise all modern religions I believe

  • @MetalGearNaked

    they are jews

before Israel the jewsih people was spreaded around the world so they came from syra turkey etc so its a common mistake to think that they are actually armenians and so

  • @awarhg

they're not jews and they have no jewish background. they said so themselves.

  • @Blutstrupfs I'm not sure where he is originally from, but his background is Armenian. He moved to Israel, wasn't born there, and isn't a citizen

  • @Blutstrupfs Ashmedi born in Jerusalem, but his family are Armenian

  • @Blutstrupfs he isn't Israeli... He is Assyrian...

  • @tunasakar

He is in fact Israeli, because that's where he was born and raised, and that's what culture he was brought up in. He is ethnically Assyrian, but that's about it. However, he is 100% awesome, and that is indisputable.

  • @pissed7off he lived in jerusalem but he isnt israeli and never was! when they labeled him israeli he ordered to change it. His mother is armenia and his father turkish and lived in jerusalem and they are considered palestinians not israelis!

And moloch the lead guitatist is palestinian too from bethlem!

  • @ramitoflores

    I stand corrected.

However, his parents being Turkish and Armenian do not make him Turkish or Armenian, just like my mom being Scottish doesn't make me Scottish.

  • Dude, not many bands could make one tune go one for so long and make it not sound boring, haha!

  • Just make a song without the riffs repeating it sounds cool and non repetative and fun to solo over.

  • I won't. I love that damn tune.

  • @theforc Go to a yoga class. This is what meditative music is usually like. To focus on one theme and concentrate on it.

@FeastedUpon that's what they generally do, but they also want to write a meditative piece, since that style is one of their primary influences

  • Ahhh... The description called them "thrashing black metallers" so my first instinct wasn't to imagine them making meditative music. xD

  • That just shows they're good musicians, by playing out of their genre

  • Playing out of their genre yes, though writing this music doesn't seem like it would've been much of a stretch on their ability. xD

  • The true is this music is totally different and nobody could argue with that is unique in is own right. So fuck off.

  • can someone tell me please which songs of melechesh are acoustic like this one?

  • hmm from the same album as far i remember acoustic are "Whispers from the tower" and "Dance of the black genies"....okokok "Peoples-knows everything" sorry if i made mistakes...

    good band !

  • This piece is a masterful artwork. Be sure to listen to the HQ stream, as the normal does not do it justice.

  • One of my favorite songs, by one of the best bands around on a very short list. Everyone should listen to this at least once a day. Though through its own spendor, we are all caused to press repeat.

  • One of the best Instrumentals iv ever heard!

  • lol they do know quite how it sounded

they had developed a system for writing down music and a there are instructions for how to tune a harp and stuff

my teacher actually made one and tuned it the way a sumerian text said so i know for sure its possible ;)

the only thing you cant be sure about is the rythm because they didnt write that down

  • can you msg me about Sumerian musical notation, I and probably members of the university classics club would want to know about it

  • Not even close, actually.

  • I love Sumerian science, along with quantom physics... Just the way it all makes so much sense, and in about three years everyone will know the name of the Annunaki... Just remember everyone, EVERYONE who so much as touches a weapon during the coming gets killed or left behind, so, chill.

  • That stuff about Annunaki, 2012, quantum mysticism, all that you mentioned is a bunch of shit. 2012 is going to come and go and, admittedly, society will indeed be changing rapidly due to e.g. emerging technologies, but no discrete catastrophe is going to happen so just try to enjoy your life because it will probably be longer than you think

Also this song rules even though I've pretty much stopped listening to metal I keep coming back to this instrumental like a cow to a salt lick

  • this band is fuckin awsome

  • if you like this tunes you should find turkish songs' tabs. They very similar. and this flute tune is very similar to turkish "tasavvuf" music tunes.

  • \m/

  • Потрясающая музыка!!!!!!

  • makes me wanna get stoned in egypt haha sounds deadly

  • @cockedandloaded2007 hell yeah... roll a joint using the paper the mummy is wrapped in.. woo boy.. shit would have you feelin like a pharaoh

  • @m3tallih0lic Lmfao.

  • seriously this song ive played it above 1000 times... MELECHESH is a godly band!

  • This band is AMAZING!!!!!!!

  • sons médio-orientais mechem com o meu ser...doido!

  • marduk shar esagila shamê u ertsetim >=)

  • seems instrumental Nile's songs, Melechesh are amazing.

  • when i first heard this band i didnt like them, but now i just happened to listen to a few of their good songs and they're awesome. i think i'll stick to this band for a while and give them a good listen.

  • They offer quite a bit of variety in their music, and they are spectacular songwriters, so I'm sure you'll enjoy them greatly

  • my favourite band of all time! incredible sound i fucking loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove melechesh so soooo bad!

  • humm Babylon...Esagil...ziggurat Etemenanki of Marduk King of the Gods...

    HAIL TO MELECHESH \m/

  • I badly need the tabs for this... Love this piece by Melechesh!!

  • This band is incredible.you just have to love their music.

  • only 1,842 views and most of them probably by me

I've listened to this song again and again

    Melechesh is an incredible band

  • Sorry to say it only records the first time you view it.

On another note, This is my first time listening to these guys and they are amazing. I love the eastern arabic riffs!

  • Oh it does? Didn't know.

BTW, small point of contention: the style of Melechesh is best described 'Mesopotamian' rather than 'Arabic', because their technical and mythological influences come from pre-Arabic civilizations who lived in that area. The musical style is of course very similar though.

  • thts right... the beats are "mesopotamian"

    or otherwise known as "assyrian"

  • there were more empires than the assyrian empire in that region so "mesopotamian" is the better term of the two

  • Assyrian is it's own independent culture, therefore this is Assyrian.

  • even if Assyria was it's own independant culture DjNineveH insinuated that Mesopotamia was Assyria.

  • Well he is wrong.

  • He was talking about the riffs and not the lyrical influences.

I'm sorry, but no one knows how ancient mesopotamian music sounded like, these riffs, scales and melodies are definintly influenced by Arabic or Middle Eastern music.

  • you're absolutely right....nobody know what it sounded like

  • Exactley. However, Middle Eastern music is probably the closest thing to what Sumerian/Babylonian music would have sounded. We can only guess.

  • DJINN is my favorite... great band, great song

  • Djinn is very good but have you tried Sphynx?:0

  • Great song.

  • I love these sounds :)

  • absolutely divine actually

  • learn to spell.

  • this band is so awesome, this record is probably their best along with sphynx, melechesh will live on forever.

  • that's right! this album is divine
