In the Philippines, plagiarism in not that of a big deal, I mean duh. They did Beyonce' performance on Party Pilipinas once. THE EXACT SAME THING. US is strict with plagiarism. so I agree with @vahl1certified. They did the exact same thing except the last part. I have nothing against GM and yes, I'm a filipino but C'MON.

what pilobolus did was far way different from the graffiti motion. graffiti showed our culture,Filipino culture. i can find no wrong in what they did.maybe pilobulos is just threatened by the fact that Filipino can also do what they can do...come on...be sport...if you will just compare your performance with the graffiti, you'll see that they are better than your group...

honestly, the perfomance of The Graffiti Motion is more clean than this one. Even though, they copied this performance, their performance is much cleaner...uh, i'm just disappointed with my fellow Filipino citizens...more power to Graffiti Motion, more power to Pilobolus!

a certain group in Showtime (a variety show in the Philippines) copied this. the name of the group is Graffiti Motion. they were included as one of the grand finals but later on got disqualified because they copied this group. all i can say is that Graffiti Motion did a better job than this. they didn't have to copy any group though. i feel disappointed at my fellow Filipinos sometimes because of lack of originality.

It's ok for the Graffiti Motion to do Shadow dancing (cause a lot of groups around the world are doing it), they just have to do or make their own routine. Not the routine of someone else. @chappiichigo Because its Illegal! It wasn't a copy of ideas, but a copy of the routine. Their first performance was like a free pass to get to the next level. It's unfair to the contestants of the show. If they made a different routine on the first show and just got an idea or inspiration to do shadow dancing, then they wouldn't be on this mess. Sorry for all the rant, i just think they did something wrong. And yes, i do know showtime, my mom is addicted to it.

Shadow Dancing is not exclusive only for the Pilobolus. I believe that dancing like this is legal and allowed in the international law. What is wrong and unacceptable in the international law is the fact that Graffiti Motion COMPLETELY copied this performance in showtime, though they change I *heart* NY to I *heart* Showtime. It is like copying your research by another researcher.

I am a Filipino, I love Showtime, I love the Graffiti Motion, but they have to face the consequence of their act.

If so, then shouldn't be film-makers' special effects and a performer like the late King of Pop Michael Jackson's 'moonwalk' dance techniques be patented as well and thus, anyone who does the 'moonwalking trademark' or MJ shall be charged with plagiarism.
