thanks for the kind feedback....i say this a lot and i don't mean to 'dodge' your question but i personally don't think in terms of stumming patterns - my advice is to try and lock into groove of song and play what you feel is appropriate/musical. all the best with your music...dale.

Dale , Thanks for posting this. Just subscribed to your page and digging in to it. I always loved this song. I grew up in that age of great guitar base rock and Journey certainly contributed a ton of great music. I likr your style of teaching/playing. I picked it all up right away. I have not played in 12+ years due to a damaged finger and only recently had the guts to try it again. Thanks again for posting this song, it gave me the hope that I might be able to actually play again!

What I like here is your vid deals with the rhythm guitar part. So many tunes are chopped by guitarists who just deal with the lead. That's great and all, but how can anyone play the whole song without the rhythm...
