  • J S Bach, the greatest Jazz writer of all time! Vive la belle France.

  • Sounds happy. Bach would have liked it too

  • in '70s life was beautiful, now sucks

  • Love the singing, hate the drums

  • i'm okay with the drums, not so much the double bass

  • @AxelVekemans i think it is a voice... a good singer. not a double bass,

  • @barakvesh try some more

  • 60's style and CLASS at its best!

  • for gods sake , is it diffiicult to make somthing beatiful like this piece nowdays ? the question : am i the only one who love this things , or : there are no good music these days ?

  • @5619762 - There are several groups doing this kind of music, look for "a capela" or "a capella" (i.e. solo singers without accompaniment). E.g. vivaldi a capella. Cheers.

    BAAAAAA------- ah~

  • Thats pretty darn cool. One of my favorite pieces to play.

  • Now you know where the Canadian Brass get some of their settings of Bach.

  • Bach and Jazz are an awesome mix! The richness of harmony , the flexible rhythms, and the motivic freedom of his music lends itself so nicely to Jazz!

  • This low C by the basses at the end is real nice:P

  • actually if they can hit that low C they're at least tenors, but they might be basses as well

  • @toskoramone Ha no normal tenor can hit that note.

  • Hella cool!

  • candid

  • Abs.tasteful rendition: I guess Johann will be appreciative...! Voices transcriptions were surely performed back then,so,not a disrespectful entertainment at all !

  • Perfect!!!!

  • The 60's were definitely a creative period. Bach is always "in style", but the Swingle Singers infused his music with a contemporary sense of "class" that's just pure fun. Bach and jazz. Who would have thunk? :)

  • I love the bass haha, it's awesome. Never thought Bach and jazz could mix.

  • They are great. Bravi! It is so hard to sing Bach and in this tempo!

  • i like this photo, it's so harmonious

  • @pleasantblue Duly noted.

But i can't find it anywhere!
