  • Does anyone know the tuning for this song?

  • @jwaldman1 standard tuning

  • standard tuning

  • Fantastic! Can you tell me what that quick part is in the main bit? The low framerate seems to have lost your fingers somewhere in their speed. Absolutely great work, best cover of the song on YT.

  • @thedudesupreme hammer-on pull off 4th string, i.e 0h1p0 then play 5th string @ 3rd fret

  • rrr man ive been searchin for a tab for this acoustic version ever since i seen it on the manupstairs dvd.... any chance of a tab dood?

  • what is the tuning for this song please!? : )

  • Gr8 Stuff man!, this looks a particularly tuff JM song to play, think ive sussed the chords but not the twiddly bit!

Dont spose you have a tab??? : )

  • Beautiful! You've really got the right hand technique down perfectly - pure JM

  • oh man, that was great...you think i could bother you for the basic chord positions for this one?..i just want to try a strumming version, but i really think i can sing it ,,just not play it..lol...good work..

  • thx, song is in A, then theres a g/d kinda chord = x24031 then an e ish chord x79080. make a vid of ur version, i'd love to hear it

  • wicked bro!..thanks alot, i did over the hill and may you never. i just learned solid air last night, i used the open C9 tuning...thats a weird one, think i might record that one today

  • and btw, u don't wnna hear me sing!

  • NIce one sir..JM fingerstyle there sure.

Innovative...mic on top of soundboard..we both must keep up this JM tradition of sellotaping everything we can to the guitar -he would have wanted that !! It did make the sound better actually.

BTWay I sat down last night and started going over this one myself-we must be psychotic or something.

(Any chance of a guiding vocal on some of next stuff?) regardless-very nice job here.

[ps does JM himself not use the 6th string? -I've been using it!]

    -ian

  • lol yea sellotape is well underrated! i cant really find a place for the 6th string, what tunin do u use.? in live in dublin vid jm plays solid air after openin with one day but he doesnt de-tune 6th string. this means that IF my solid air tunin is right he must play one day in drop d. one day is in A so 6th string wouldnt b used withou frettin it somewhere. the broken g/d chord in one day is kind of a d but i still cant get it to sound right if i play 6th string.

  • Great playin! if you check out the vid guitarmanEire posted you see that he tunes the 6th string up to E before starting off.
