Yeah that is saying that the sucky schools on LI are in d2 but when you go upstate thats where they are the best. D2 upstate is the equivelent to d1 on LI, there are more small schools. And you can't nessacarily say d2 sucks look at suffolks league 6, with shoreham sinai amityville, bayport, and especially Glenn, they are one of the most hard leagues, and they all came from d2, but yes, li d2 does suck now

in new york they split us up into two divisions with the bigger and better schools in division one and the small mostly sucky schools in division 2

Its actually just bigger schools in D1 and smaller schools in D2. And since the bigger schools have more people they have more wrestlers to choose from thus having a greater chance to have a overall better team, but the best wrestlers in D1 are no better then the best in D2, just the overall teams are better.

Is this a High School match. Just wondering because 171 isn't a college weight. Why is JIMBEUTHER saying its division 2. High school is either 4a or 5a depending on how many people. Besides they don't look ripped enough to be College guys.

hauppague is a division 1 team league 4 on Long Island, they use high school mats for the county finals, theres only one suffolk mat and the D1 finals are held on it and D2 are on whatever H.S. mat is provided

In New York, the State Tournament has two divisions. Division two are the smaller schools & division one are the larger schools. Therefore, there tends to be a disparity in the level of competition.
