Johnson was considered a big heavy back then & he enjoyed height,reach & size over his opponents.The style was different;a lot of wrestling,hitting in the clinches, and not as much action.It was apparent that Johnson wasn't used to fighting big men during the Williard clip,as Williard posed a problem w/his height & reach. He was able to get to Johnson. His hands low,w /his laid back style would've never worked with many of the subsequent greats, that came along years after him.
