Good vid. I almost bought a ps3 just for socom. I was a hardcore socom 1/2 player that stopped becaues of socom 3. If a good socom / remake of socom 2 were to come out I would sell my xbox, buy a ps3, and buy socom. I know im not alone either.
just look at their ps home space, i dont know if anyone else has this problem but the sound in the tent does not work unless you are outside of it and you cant see the screens from there. so i came to a conclusion:
Socom Confrontation(at the moment)= FAIL and beyond
Socom Confrontation(when patch is release, which might be never)=Super Socom(hopefully)
Definately man...Change is necessary to keep the fans interested. But the changes that they make are just too drastic. I'd like to see a wider range of character movements and more weapons / gear. I'd like to see old maps stay the same and new maps along with it. The prone roll is great as well as the extra crouch feature. The proximity chat is different but makes the game a bit more realistic. That was just to show you that I do appreciate SOME changes while others are just dumb.
Thats what respawn or custom rooms are for. You didn't like Socom 1? Most people thought that game was godlike "For its time" When you go back and play it now, its just weird to look at. well it's not really that i didn;t like it, more that when my dad had it and i would watch him play it he was awesome at it, then i would try and, being 12 or 13 at the time i would get veeery frustrated over not being able to complete what he made seem like simple tasks.

Its hard to prove how good anybody is in this game. When a good player drops a grenade right on top of a guy and he doesn't die, it takes away all credibility. When you try to duck behind cover to avoid being shot, and that doesn't work either, the less skilled player gets a kill because the game won't do what you want it to do. That kind of shit just pulls a lot of skill out of a match. Period

for all those who can't enjoy the humor in all your previous videos this one does a great job of explaining what issues you, and most of the socom community has with the game. we all play the game because we love it but that doesn't mean there aren't MANY things wrong with it. for me personally socom was expected to be the game to end all games, but it has turned into just another game to play until the next better game comes out.

if socom 2 ever came to ps3 no uprgraded graphics or feautures or anything, just no cheaters, id definately buy the second it came out. cuz thats all i need.

resistance 2 has 60 player online match and a story. there is no reason for this game to be as bad as it is the devlopers are being lazy.

You should go to slantsix office and represent us socomers that wants this game to be fixed. I played the crap out of socom 1 and 2, it was the best online game i've ever played. i go back from the days where leaderboards in socom 1 was actually fun (remember Z-pain..?) it sad to see this series going downhill, i just hoped that /6 watch this and fix it asap.

I think that even though they were entertaining for us and I knowyour were frustrated as well as the major majority feels that same way. This has got to be the best way to get the point across. Very calm, very straight forward and very very respectful. Kudos to you my friend for being our voice now hopefully they will listen. Thank you a fellow socom vet.

for all those who can't enjoy the humor in all your previous videos this one does a great job of explaining what issues you, and most of the socom community has with the game. we all play the game because we love it but that doesn't mean there aren't MANY things wrong with it. for me personally socom was expected to be the game to end all games, but it has turned into just another game to play until the next better game comes out.
