Those who don't remember when Atari 2600 was the top of the line gaming system will never understand the love soem of us had for it. Too bad. I lost a lot of hours in that console and still have it! I haven't drug it out in a long time now but, I still remember it fondly. I guess it's one of those "had to be there" things.

I definitely remember when it was the thing to have. In fact I still remember the day my parents bought me Moon Patrol. I was so excited, I played the hell out of that game.

@tonydecaro Same here. I remember thinking that it was the best thing ever! Now, I think the game box artwork is one of the most lasting aspect in a lot of ways but, I still have to drag the old console out from time to time!

i mean i grew up round them, and it wasnt untill the 2600 jr came out did people start callin the atari a 2600, up till then every1 just called it an atari.

so i mean with that in mind we should be seein the 1985 little plastic and silver model shouldnt we?

There were plenty of non-2600 Ataris available in the early 1980s; are you sure people did not call it the 2600 then?

Seriously, I cannot begin to understand what this is, or how it exists, or why it is so amazing. But this has to be the most amazing, soulful, real Atari love song and tribute in the world. I cannot believe there is any sarcasm here at all. It is OFF THE CHAIN.
