  • It seemed like beauty was a factor in the selection of this group. Every single one of these ladies is gorgeous...and I mean every single one.

  • this is so beautiful. I was wondering what they are singing about.

  • @stop08it The host actually tells you what it's about before they start dancing.

  • i want to go too!

  • good job

  • Wow, another flawless performance from the ladies of O Kamuela.

  • Simply mezmorizing!!! Great job! :)

  • I love their oli, the kumu chants first, then the halau, it shows that they have practiced their chanting because like their dance, its FLAWLESS.

  • @fliprootzman -- its actually pretty flawed.

  • beautiful. I love how this halau always has such tight formations and synchronization. It really sets them apart from the other halaus

  • I thought you weren't supposed to smile when you dance (kahiko, anyway) or is that an old rule that's not followed anymore?

  • it's really dependent on the kumu. i've noticed that many say if the dance is about something happy, then you should smile.

  • my favorite kahiko from this halau. maika'i loa!

  • i love this kahiko! (= all the girls are syncronized & their facial expressions are grreat . lovely job :D

  • Maika'i no. This halau is always beautiful in both kahiko & auana.

But do I see make-up on some of the girls in this kahiko?????? I hope not.

Mahalo nui loa for sharing. A hui hou, malama pono.

  • nice beautiful dance. i was supposed to go to this halau before i moved to the mainland..but as soon as i move back later this year this is the halau im going too

  • gorgeous...

  • this halau has such great stage presence. They do such a great job. they always do good and always place

  • Mahalo to this halau kumu for keeping the artform as traditional as possible. Looks graceful, good feet basics, much less robot looking than hula looked a few years ago. Don't let MM competition change hula kahiko tradition.

  • i like it

  • I think that's a simpleminded..(hupo) question if our wahine had real hair...It's evidently real and natural...and the local girls will always portray and maintain that NATURAL beauty...

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • kelekeli oola meiaa nooeeeii kalu kahekaheka loumeiaana o waikea nuie ai ekailaimaina hay moouna

  • Taloha ni

The dance is beautiful, and the women are so graceful, it's AWESOME!!!

  • Hey,are the girls hair long real and natural?

  • If they kept to Paleka's rules, then yeah. You weren't allowed to cut your hair or change your style without her permission.

  • Yes there hair is real and it is natural

  • YEs beautiful indeed! so breath taking! Its a good thing that Hawwaii is having compititions like this because Hawai and its people are so filled with love, and rich in culture! Sad that Queen lilikolani was over throun and has to be forced into white coloniolism. Keep the haritige strong loves

  • love it!

  • i love them. they dance so beautiful. i used to dance for the them but in the younger gurls group. there my favorite.
