  • i was about 10 when i frist saw this

  • kto od williextreme? :D

  • The Earth belongs to the Human race?.......More Human ignorance, NO the Earth belongs to every living thing on it, not just Humans.

  • @NANOFORGE Tell that to the bad dubbing gringo

  • @NANOFORGE Not in 2087 once we wipe everything out.

  • you'll never get this planet as long as I am here to DEFEND IT

  • EARTH SHALL BELONG TO ME!!!!! >:U

  • The Invaders attack in the Year 2087.

The Space Knights are all that stand between Darkon and the destruction of earth!

    (Teknoman!)

The Earth shall belong to me!

You will never get this planet as long as I am here to defend it.

We are not about to let the Venomoids or anyone else take it away from us.

We behind descend upon the Earth - Darkness will unveil its banner across yet another region in the cosmos!

  • this was the opening that i remembered watching when i was about 12. i used to watch this every morning before going to school. took me years to find the episodes so i could watch it again. thanks for posting this opening, as it is the best one :)

  • @drfrags holy shit, it's the exact same for me ^^

Man this brings back so many childhood memories, hell, I even found some episodes (2) I never saw on tv ^^ this is the opening that was used on dutch tv and I took me long enough to find it. Darkon's voice is so badass, I can watch this series again and again! it's ALL GOOD!

  • GOOOOD :D

  • This opening is better than the piece of crap anime version, that suck!!! This is one of the litter good non-anime opening

  • Comment removed

  • I remember spendin countless hours as a kid drawin my own teknoman suit designs :D

  • if only teknoman (Tekkaman Blade )

    had been on toonmi

    a shame toonmi ended

    with out this show being

    on it

  • this one is alright but the UPN, english REAL intro is SOOO much better

  • ALRIGHT LISTEN , THIS OPENING SUCKS , the jap version was way better ..!

  • @oriramu ALRIGHT LISTEN, I LIKE THIS OPENING! Not everyone has the same tastes as you, lesson to be learnt.

  • You LISTEN..its because U.S can clip and wrote over Damn music for certian shows that came out of japan...japs opening was more surreal than this load of crap...Telling me that you like how the U.S bastardized it..then sir you aren't grasping the sight of this at all.

  • @oriramu

There is a thing called TOLERANCE..... you have none of it.

  • Tolerance..is that the best you can come up with..and don't you mean word.

  • @oriramu explain 'sight of this'? I like it, you don't. Thats the only thing thats going on here. You say it's bastardizing, I say thats your opinion and it doesnt represent everyone's taste. 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. Also what he means is bad luck if you dont like it, learn some tolerance and put up with it.

  • I HATE this damn opening...and using that beauty quote doessn't apply for this crappy dub.

  • @oriramu weeaboo

  • the heck are you saying man.?

  • @oriramu For the most part, Teknoman was just bad. The UPN Network completely butchered the show with horrible dubbing, and extensive editing for American audiences, which resulted in several missing episodes. Of course, I have to give credit to where it's due: this was the show got me into watching anime, and the opening was pretty nice. But, in the end, Teknoman was just a cheap carbon-copy of Tekkaman Blade. It strived to achieve the same mastery as its predecessor, but ended up falling flat.

  • all in all I hate the DUB of the series..you mean this got you to watch anime..heh wow I didn't even know what to call this back in the younger days ..didn't even know the differece between anime and cartoon..thought they were all the same..

  • Still hate the dub of it though.!

  • omg i loved this show i'm getting flashbacks about how i wanted to be a teknoman..if only the teknopods were here..:(

  • i tried to make a teknopod as a child or rather i tried to make a teknosuit like ringos. i fiquired blades suit was above my skill.

my dad has a construction company i took all his material and made a giant teknosuit. it didn't work but i could get inside and move it around. i still get laughed at.

  • @wind27382 lmao>ROFL!!!!!

  • @Dimebag001 Are you sure you'd survive?

  • Man I remember watching this show back in 3rd or 4th grade and my friend and I would be silly and say "TEKNOMAN!" in that voice. Man nowadays when I watch TV, I can only think how great it was back then - when they had shows that were worth getting up early for.

  • ain't that the truth

  • I don't like the american version of the show better but to be honest I like the american intro music is better than the japanese.

  • Y'know I really hate how the U.S bastardized it ..!

  • indeed, this was probably amoung the best you could get for a general broadcast anime dub back when it was made (watched it quite a bit when I had the chance), and was probably perfectly fine for US broadcast (not to mention already completed), yet they decide to go over it and redub it for some reason.

  • Great quality!

  • I still get goosebumps all over the damn place when I watch Blade's line: You'll never get this planet as long as I'm here to defend it.

    That's a true hero.

  • Wow, they really remastered the video quality on Teknoman! It looks incredible!

  • naw, that was pokemon I think.

Though, this opening is epic enough to induce one. so maybe.

  • All Japanese cartoons have the potential to give kids epileptic attacks.

  • @SnakePlissken001

Your posts have the same kind of effect on people.

  • @chillybillyboy

LOL then why are you reading my posts, let alone replying to them, if they're so hazardous to your health? But, replying is even worse, and since you replied, I guess you're screwed now. Hope you lived a good life ^_^

  • I'm surprised I never developed epilepsy as a child whilst watching this. Awesome stuff.

  • peril like no other

  • Saban was awesome

  • WHEN I DESCEND UPON THE EARTH, DARKNESS SHALL UNFURL ITS BANNER ACROSS YET ANOTHER REGION OF THE COSMOS!!!

    Best bad-guy line EVER! xD

  • Why watch it then?

  • @tbra3477 not that much... I saw the Saban's version and then I got the real translated anime... and I still LOVE this opening

  • @tbra3477 Not everyone likes the Japanese versions, I grew up watching this version on TV so I'd like this version for nostalgic reasons but everyone has their own tastes.

  • EARTH SHALL BELONG TO ME!

    Omega is pure awesome.

  • this theme is epic. for an english one anyways. usually they suck but in this case ill take this over the origional anyday. TEKNOPOWER

  • My childhood is passing right before my eyes

  • very nice the theme

  • the american version sucked

they took the tranny out among other things :(

  • Shut up. It's still one of the best dubs ever, especially by today's standards

  • when i firs saw this on tv as a kid i was hooked...this and dragonball came on round the same time..the first dragonball

  • *drools* i loved this series when i was a kid...was one of the only anime series out at the time on normal TV...loved it and because of this series and a couple of others it just fueled my interest and love for anime!

    awesome series!

  • this is show was awesome, i liked the dubbed version more due to the voices.

this show got me in to anime, and i think this was also my first anime at the time i was like 8 or something.

  • EARTH SHALL BELONG TO ME !!!!!!

  • The original Tekkaman Blade was vastly superior to Teknoman (the english dubbed version). But, still, Teknoman was the first anime I ever saw.

  • still love it

  • I fully used 2 watch this when I was 11. Always liked Teknoman Axe. his sensai

  • too good!!

  • The best anime ever, all what we saw in TEKNOMAN was also used later in DBZ and Neon Genesis: the power ups the mid air fighting, transformations, the machines, power beams and the explosions!!!

  • older anime already did those things...

  • Thanks for pointing that out, which anime in particular? I'm interested.. Bahamut1337 you are an Final Fantasy fan right? FF7 and FF8 are my favourites.

  • transformations - midair fighting and were part of the macross series in 1985,

anyway there a lot of anime which borrow and continue with parts of other anime, im sure there was a diffrent anime which was before macross as well ;p

and i used to like FF yes tough disappointed at new ones.

  • i'll agree it started with the macross series but a lot of the others that use it sometimes kinda destroy that image

  • ...except that Tekkaman was first released in 1975, a full TEN YEARS before.

  • Holy shit this show takes me back

    TEKNOMAN!

  • This show is an EPIC WIN!!!

  • I used to watch this in Belgium in the 1990's.

  • omg I used to watch this in Colombia!

Sickest song ever for an opening!

  • This sounds wayyyyyy better with the volume turened up to max yeaaaa

  • Earth belongs 2 me!!! xDDD awesomeness

  • It's earth shall belong to me lmao

  • damn this shit was so tight wish they would repeat it

  • When I descend uppon the earth, darkness will unveil it's banner across yet another region of the cosmos!

Such an epic statement, i just love this:)

  • this was my first taste of anime. i was REAL young.

    thanks for the upload. 5/5

  • Yup same here bro. I was 8 or 9 when i first watched it. I tryed to watch as many episodes as i could in the morning before school. But sometimes I missed them. Luckily my parents delayed taking me to school so i could watch the final episode. fuckn awesome anime.

  • This is one the the best animes i've seen

  • opening audio but the vid matches it.

  • classic

  • Now this is the intro I remember why is there one that say "The spaceKnights cannot defend the earth" instead of "The spaceknight are all that stand against Darkon" and says Slade instead of Blade is it the American intro?

  • Correct. There are three versions of Teknoman Blade floating around out there. The original Japanese version with subtitles, the EU/Australia version (with this intro, though on he DVD it has a unique intro) which is an altered version of the Japanese version (but still good) and finally the heavily edited/censored American version with the intro you're thinking of.

The UK/Australia version wasn't half bad actually, but none of it compares to the original.

  • heck, I dont think that the US version ever even got to the end of the series.

  • It didn't! Teknoman was my favorite anime and overal animated series years ago when it came out in UPN. I'm telling you when they cancelled about halfway through the series was was pissed as hell, and I even became depressed for a while! They did the same sh*t with Dragonquest, but I felt it was worse cuz this was freaking Teknoman!

  • amen!

  • Well, thank goodness for DVDs!

  • Best anime EVER! This is in my top 5 along with GetBackers, Elfen Lied and Gungrave. Teknoman is my number one anime!

  • What episode is that at 0:18 ?

  • like the music, great series!

  • teknoooooooooooomaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnn jejejeje de bolas yo soy blade (nick carter)

  • teeknoooooooomannnnnnnnn jejeje de bolas gringos yo soy blade (nick carter)

  • I can lissen to this the whole dam day

  • At 0:12 there is a unique metallic clanging sound... Do you know what other Japanese T.V. series it's from?

  • I remember this from 1995 in Costa Rica's open tv. Many thought it was another shitty sci-fi american toon...Damn censorship. Still a classic.

  • I can understand why, as it does kind of resemble some of the cartoons being peoduced by the US at that time, but the main thing that gives it away is the fact that the backgrounds get lots of detailing. American cartoons usualy spent less time on backgrounds so they could save money and make more episodes. (as the american cartoons were not usualy made with a single storyline told over all the episodes.)

  • well, meny anime series and movies are Art Masterpieces ...no SATURDAY CARTOONS...so they aren´t meant for children ( like Akira, Evangelion, GANTZ...) so their creators really focus on superior quality and high graphic detail and complex, fascinating storylines

( MONONOKE HIME, Rurouni KENSHIN, END OF EVANGELION, etc).

  • What about american cartoons with a lot of detail like gargoyles.

  • they just ROCK!!! Not only gargoyles, also justice league unlimited, superman and batman the animated series... and many 80`s cult classics like MASK and GI JOE ( primitive animation but excellent plot and dialogues jejeje)

  • Shitty Toons meant to sell toys like Pokemon, B-Daman and Beyblade are an insult to japanese talents like Go Nagai, Nobuhiro Watsuki and Hayao Miyasaki. May Mazinger burn all the stupid, unworthy toons with his photonic beams!

  • you just made yourself sound like an art snob. People are allowed to like whatever the hell they want to.

Also, I remind you that in japan, a WHOLE LOT MORE shows have merchendizing based on them.

  • well, those are the shows I hate...Damn it there´s a lot of crap out there. Please save us AMERICAN CENSORSHIP...just kidding.

  • I always loved this! What is the theme song called?

  • pure class

  • I remember the episode that the clip at 45 seconds comes from, it was pretty dramatic.

  • Yeps, his sister committed suicide, while he was on his way to save her from his brother and crew. They blew up right before his eyes

  • @Lex0310 Of course, in the Japanese version she was murdered.

  • ahhhh, THIS is the one i have been looking for. I have to say, i am glad that we in austrlia got this version.

  • you took the words out of my mouth mate

  • Its just a shame that it took DVD distribution of anime to get to a state again where we have decent translations again, instead of translations designed to be safe for american broadcast tv's children's blocks. But because this one was done for the UK, we not only saw the whole thing, but it was also a better translation with less cuts. (lolslade)

  • this one ran in austrilla first

  • Ah yes... shear brilliance! Genius don't need animations with any ethics or morals just big bad aliens trying to conquer Earth for the hell of it. Bring it on!

Ah yeah this is the UK dub it didn't have the afore mention narration. I think this better because the US version almost explains the whole story before it has even begun.

Of course u can't have a decent mecha anime without the synthesized cheesey music, so in my view, this is even better than the original Japanese opening! :D

  • What is this? Is this the UK dub? I remmeber the one that was like "even the heroic men and and women of the space knights cannot defend the earth without the help of a young man named Slade who has the power to transform into the superhereo TEKNOMAN!" or something like that. Also Blade and Noal sound different then I remember their dub voices sounding... but it has been a very long time since I've seen it in English.

  • @onikage725 This is the UK / Aus version; it came out on DVD, but I honestly like the voicework in the American version better. I still bought the DVDs, both since the American version is incomplete and I can't screencap with a VHS, but the old version is and always will be my favorite.

  • THATS the intro i remebered

  • THATS the intro i remebered form so long ago!

    THANKS A GAZILLION deadmanmj!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

  • kick ass narration. ah.. the good old days...
