  • Be responsible too, wear a Bra please!

  • T-Mobile $49.99 unlimited talk text and web. If you life in ft lauderdale fl I can provide you with this service.

  • First time viewing you girl! You are so real. And love your advice! I decided to ditch my contract phone with a prepaid and since have been saving a ton. I went with Straight Talk and actually started with the "bare minimum" phone. Standard flip phone.Very affordable. And same great coverage I was enjoying before, just paying more with Verizon. Now I only pay $45 for an unlimited plan, may savings has added up to $840 a year!

  • pinching pennies is easier than you think. Most people, like I used to be, pay crazy amounts for contract cell phone plans, most over a 100 to get unlimited text/talk/and web. I wasn't happy with that so I did some research and found that prepaid companies like straight talk and boost mobile were offering the same features for only 45 a month, 45! for unlimited everything! what a deal, and that's over 600 bucks I'm saving a year

  • If you want to learn how to save money on your bills and make money as well, send me a message. Of course you will have to pay a little to get startled.

  • All I know that I will revert back to a prepaid plain after my contract plan expires.

  • Hey DT :) thanks for that sunshine. I agree entirely with your sentiment of what you need to use on a phone, and what not. Phone & text thank you very much. And what goes well for me is your basic run of the mill tracfone. very cheap, and any additional airtime is cheap too. further more, i won't ever get caught out with that bill at the end of the month.

  • I DONT WANT TO KILL NOBODY!

  • the best way to save money in your cell phone bills is using reverse charge call services like 08000mumdad.

  • Apparently you haven't seen Judge Judy or judge Joe Brown where friends and family are taking each other to court for going over their mins and not paying their bills that advise about joining a plan with a friend is bad advice but everything else you said is well taken keep the tips coming

  • I use to work for Cingular and WorldCom.

If you really want to put a dent in your phone bill.

This is the plan where you can travel anywhere in the U.S. and make phone calls.

    Go with a local plan.

ME: How many times in the past year have you left your area?

  • I pay 89.00 per month. And I have Sprint it is an all inclusive plan. I think its called Simply Everything. I use my phone for business/personal and my home phone is a land line, I need it or business faxes, internet and my alarm. Other wise I would not have it. I tried joining a family plan! Oh no Honey they sucked up all the minutes and left me with the bill. No more sharing with my folks..Great tips gonna pass this along to all...

  • This is some good information! I use my phone for everything. Business and personal so I got to pay for extra services however its not that much. I share the plan with my mother but just like everyone else Im trying to save money, Thanks again! Your fab!

  • Hi D, loved the video...I have a family plan, M2M calling, family allowance (2 other fam. members and text plan on my phone and I spend about $100 a month with the taxes and fees.. but to me it's worth it to me and i do use all features on a reg. basis...i also do the bundle on my cable/internet/phone...bundlin is definitely the way to go....What a great channel this is!..thanks for spreading knowledge...its POWER...Blessings*

  • LOVE THOSE JEANS!! maybe do a show on distressed jeans? how to make your own.. I'll be making some this weekend ;] maybe I'll do a short video ... This was a good topic...

  • I would love for you to do a video on how to make distressed jeans. I plan to go downtown soon to purchase some new fabric. I will be making some DIY videos soon.

  • Girl, this is why I love your videos!!

  • I have a pre-paid phone service, it really does save me money!! Its a camera phone with texting and more and I pay for the features only when I want to!

  • this is such a great tip! thanks for taking the time to make this great video! looking forward to the next one!

  • ooooh dear haha my bill was $160 last month! Well £80 hehe!

  • Thank you!

  • This is wonderful Ms.D...I am going to check my bill right now.. Many blessings.

  • great video! you always give great tips! I have sprint..so I can relate.

I might switch to verizon though..(my dad is considering it since he contract is over) If I switch to verizon I will only be paying $13.00 a month!!

  • Thanks for the tips.. I learn a lot from your videos.

  • @Peachtree81....true Sprint does offer an employee discount for certain employers. My employer discount is 15% off my monthly bill. Another way to save is to call retention and threaten to cancel so they will offer you a lower monthly payment. It works Trust me!

  • yea.. the internet for the phone is outrageous thats an extra 24.99 a month.. thats crazy.. and text messages are not really necessary you could do chatting on AIM on the internet at home.. people are so intoxicated to what they see around them that they dont realize that its hurting them

  • I love watching your shows...so helpful

  • Hello, D!

    Great episode today!

But I miss your DIY eps, I like those the most!

    Have a nice weekend!

  • Hello: Miss Lady,

Don't worry. I will keep them coming. In a couple weeks, I will show you how to make a simple "it" black dress in part one. In part 2, I will show you how to wear the dress or the one you already have in different ways. Thank you for supporting The Discount Trendsetter Show.

  • Great tips D! I got so frustrated with all the extra charges that I just went with a prepaid service. It's great for what I needed.

  • thanks great tips!!!

  • Great tips! Another way to save money is by being loyal to your cell provider. Sprint offers a 10% discount for those who wish to renew their contracts. I also get a 5% discount because the company I work for only uses Sprint. So that's 15% off a month for the next two years! I was paying about 100 dollars/mo and after switching to a family plan and these discounts, I'm paying 65! :)

  • DG,

    Thanks for the tips.

    Carmencita

  • Thanks for the tip. I disconnected my internet service. I hardly ever use it. That's a $60/yr savings.

  • Great tips!

  • let started talk about fusion!!!!

  • Prepaid Holla!

  • I know this may not work for some, BUT it could I am not trying to put down your suggestions BUT I wanna share mine. I sale Avon ok so I know HOW important it is for some to have a cell phone but in reality and after browsing T-Mobile I will add is the worse I went to 300 anytime min nites weekends free no texting nothing else and they STILL wanted 90.00 a month NO and then Verizon DO NOT get me started on them & Let's just say I was NOT happy with any of the plans so I went to Trac phone

  • I am in control and actually compared to my Niece's unlimited plan at 50$ a month only there is a slip in this of Roaming or some 1 else has a different plan than her's her last bill was 140$ these companies KNOW how to get you Sprint did it 2 me 6 yrs ago so with the Trac phone I made it emergency use only, and actually the minutes are longer than Nentelos which ran that not so great offer. Plus The danger that these things are posing behind the wheel I am guilty of it too I almost had 2

  • accidents in 15 minutes and saw that the other person 2 is yacking away on theirs even handsfree these things are deadly if you really take notice that 4 ot of 5 cars etc you pass on the road a day they are talking on the phone. Number two reason I limit my calls and here is the bonus you can also check all your messages -trac fone does not charge for missed calls- from your house phone or office phone. T-Mobile actually charged me for doing the same and I just checked my voice mail from my home

  • I am all ear for this one hun! I love this videos lately you seem more relaxed and comfortable on camera and I love it ! Get Tips as well cause Lawd knows my $180 is killing me on my cell phone bill !!!

  • love your videos!
