@RoyZeed the tatami mat simulates a limb theres bamboo in the middle for bones....generally. but yes a limb would look similar replaying this video.

it would technically be, depending on the exact length and style of wearing, an odachi, nodachi, or tachi. lengths of nihonto (japanese swords) are classified by shaku (30.3 cm is a shaku) a sword of 2 shaku is would be closest to a katana or tachi. more than 2 shaku (which this sword would be if it is truly "xl) it would be daito, odachi or nodachi.

i beleive, but do not know exactly, that this would be classified as either a daito or nodachi.

I wouls like to see the armchair experts dare to criticise SOM cutting vids now - Jonis looks lethal here and bear in mind the PK XL is a big sword - its no lightweight, 10/10

very nicely done. i bought some swords from swords of might a little while back and tried my hand at cutting, but it didn't work out so well cause i had nowhere to anchor the stand. if i did it would have gone all the way through. for the record SwordsofMight sells really fine swords, PaulChen though expensive is definitely top notch.
