  • Sa-weet!

  • ryder

  • IS THAT ALLL NO I NEED TO RIPP UR JAW OFF :)

  • IS THAT ALL?! *gets lower jaw ripped off* XDD

  • Damn he ripped his jaw off

  • There went his jaw, if I remember correctly.

  • Awesome.

like two teddy bears fighting over a cookie.

  • Well that was awesome - if they've raped the rest of the movie, at least they've salvaged some respect with that bear fight!

  • Have I missed the part where Lyra is taken to Bolvangar station, or didn't they include that part of the story in this film?

  • disturbing lol

  • Omg, I thought this was a kid's movie. I'm 5, and I saw him kill a bear.

  • @Theblizzardking really

  • @Theblizzardking r u serious

  • dude! how do you get pimp slaped by a bear?

  • lol after that polar bear won the fight, i was expecting him to drink a coco cola XD

it would have been a good commercial :D

  • Yes!!! That is all !!!! hahahaha

  • this battle is epic XD My favorite line was when Lyra said, "You're the real king he en't nothing." LOL

  • I like how the bear gets all the proper lines. :)

  • ...Why is an 11 year old girl taller than a what should be five and a half foot bear *not* standing....

  • Omg I'm laughing so hard. Right before I clicked on this part I replayed the "You wish to ride me?" part, and the fist thing Lee says on this one is "NO. I'd rather not."

  • At first it seem like a interesting bear fight, but at the end of the fight it was very disturbing, oooooooh!!!

  • i luvd the part were the jaw went flying.

    That was ammusing

  • Ah cman!! Wheres the heart part?!

  • I think, that if Iorek have won his previous battle for the throne with Ragnar, and exiled Ragnar, Lyra and him would be awesome team xP

  • @Aquarelle94 ye but if he had defeated rangar and exiled him, he wouldn't have been in Trollesund in the first place and Lyra wouldn't have found him

  • GO IOREK! Whoa his name looks strange in caps. Totally loving his badass self.

  • I love polar bears.

  • Is that "JAW"?

  • 08:20 oh sweet jesus

  • a reverse daemon-human partnership. Very, very clever little Lyra.

  • if only there were so many polar bears sadly i have seen one in real life and killed well he was in pain

  • Why didn't he bring the other polar bears dumb arse!

  • @1proudBritain because it was his war, not bears. he couldn't risk their lifes xP

  • I love the bear, he's awesome :D love the jaw ripped off.

  • Guys, see my video using this film that includes a both beautiful and meaningful song: watch?v=y44rYV5HRiM

  • . . . . . this movie is simply terriible

  • lol PWNED SO HARD!!

  • he never learned how to keep his mouth SHUT!

  • Yes, Iorek said that, but he was just full of himself. Most ice-bears are. Actually they're dumber than socks and they will believe most anything.

  • wut is the king Ragnar not iofur?

  • @mumser12 : Well, in the books, he's Iofur, but when they we're making the movie, they thought that Iofur and Iorek were too smiliar, so the changed it..

  • In the book, Iorek said you could NEVER trick a bear. Iofur must either be dumb, or Lyra's pretty cunning. (I'd go with Lyra's cunning talent)

Love the books, the movie was great. I really loved the fight seen, THAT was amazing.

  • @SharperImage08 Iofur was tricked because he wanted a daemon so he wasnt a full panzerbjorn

  • I guess the snow was the powder on his pimp hand that day.SMACK!!!

  • lol i thought it was pronounces eyeorik brineison not yorek burnision but i was wrong lol

  • i know iorek was more savege awsome but this sucks

  • Am I the only one who thinks the alethiometer sequences are super cheesy and not needed?

  • whatever happened to all the blood and gore? You never even get a good look at Iofur's ripped off jaw. And what about the elaborate rituals associated with mortal combat amongst the bears? They seem more brutish more like savages. dissapointing

  • hahaha, the bear didnt even think about if he killed him would she have survived? she put ion a good show, wincing whenever he got hurt. i heart lyra.

  • i jst dont know wat to say about dis i hope he win instead of tht king he think he is bt not to me

  • thanks for uploading MoveVeez

  • hold on a sec here wasnt bolvangar in finland?

  • @giraki1 she actually said "ballbanger"!

  • @giraki1 plus(+) you like to be tea-bagged

  • Ugh im tired of this people!!!! its spelled iorek not yurik!!! read the book and look for yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @saddayinroxbury some people are too lazy to read the whole book (including me).

  • @saddayinroxbury but its pronounced yorick by Pullman himself

  • ouch with the mouth

  • ragnor:is that all huh

    urick :god damnit its all

  • YES.

The rest of the movie might be a huge disappointment, but Iorek's badassery was definitely preserved in that fight. Yay!

  • I know she is.

  • LOVED that fight, so much depth in it 'specially after all the build-up to that point from the start. How he got tricked out of his armor, the way he got it back and the advice the ice bear gave to the girl. The loss of the lower jaw of the one ice bear was just a bonus including the neck snap and toss hehe. I like that plate armor too, looks cool and seems to work better than that chain mail the other was wearing.

  • He got pwnd

  • But in the book she said she became a daemon at bolvangr cause she went there first, but in the movie she still said that but she didn't go to bolvangr yet

  • either way shes lying

  • The hunters are supposed to take her to Bolvangar first, then after she escapes, she falls out of Lee's balloon and is taken prisoner in the kingdom of the bears.....

  • In the books Lyra is brought to Bolvanger first, also I think the boy she found isn't Billy...

  • Yeah, it was Tony Makarios. Silly Hollywood.

  • I still remember jumping in my seat at the that part in the film (I hadn't read the book yet). Amazing fight scene!

  • Oh my God. I didn't think they'd be as graphic as that, with a JAW flying towards the camera. I'm surprised (but glad) they got this part quite close to the book.

  • This is different from the book! Lyra went into a room to consult the alethiometer when Iofur asked her a question but here she did it in front of him.

  • Friggin' awesome fight scene.

  • Wtf I thought this would be a kids movie

  • ~Djspartan~ it is

  • ......ok that is different from the boook

  • xD hahahahaha (i don't know why i am laughing oO" XD)

  • it was gross but yet AWESOME when he knocked out his jaw x3 xD xP

  • they skipped the whole part where she goes to the oblation board with ll the kids and burns it down!

  • Heh the music in the fight scene makes me laugh

  • hahah dang he got his jaw knock the FUC** OUT hhahahaha..

    was it his jaw???

hahah idk but yeah that was fuunny

    THAT IS ALL!!!

  • ya it was his jaw i read the book

  • IS THAT ALL!!!!

    Yes..That is al!!

  • the book says they cant trick bears!!wth??!!!lol poor bear bein tricked haha

  • The whole point is that the King doesn't want to be a bear. He want's to be human, and acts like a human, and therefore both Lyra and Iorek could trick him.

  • Maby they had to do that to make the storey go together with the other books.

  • yah! they made EPIC FAILURE! lolz~!

  • In the book Lyra gets taken 2 the Gobblers not the Bears. or am i just mistaken?

  • movies*

  • isn't he guy that appears at 0:07 from the movie ghost rider?

  • Yeah, he plays the old ghost rider.

  • It's Sam Elliott, he also play in "Roadhouse" and "mask"

  • The fight so much better in the book. now i think about it, it was oneo f the best fights ive ever read; most are very confusing, but pullman made everything make sesne.

  • He doesn't eat Iofur Raknison's heart? What the flip???

  • i think it was because it was too graphic to put in to movie without making it R-rated

  • Comment removed

  • IS THAT ALL!!!

    ... yes that is all

    lolz

  • Did his jaw fly all what!

  • awesome fight 6:17 - 8:55

  • ahh where's bolvanger?!

  • WHOA ... does that mean all the rest of the polar bears are on Lyra's side !!! Powerful army!!! So , uhh who's side are the witches now??

  • different witch clans r on either side u'd have to read the book to really understand it

  • HOLY SHIT HIS JAW JUST WENT FLYING!!!

  • no blood though. i waited to see a closeup of the bears face after his jaw came off, but to no avail...

  • i know me too! i wish they didn't make this film so damn kid friendly :\

  • such fallacies in this movie! its so disheartening. still great though.

  • the bear king only become king because mrs. coulter drugged the bear who almost killed Iorek Byrnison, and in turn, Iorek killed him instead, and because of that was exiled. Then the bear king killed his father and ruled the kingdom of svalbard. They messed up completely in this movie, cuz in this scene, Lyra is really supposed to be in Bolvanger.

  • there was no blood when the bear's jaw flew off and there was no blood when King peter cleanly decapitated a soldier with his sword (TCN:prince Caspian). they dont like to show too much blood in these "kids" movies do they?

  • well no that's y it's a kids movie

  • the book said iorek ripped open iofur's chest and ate his heart - i was waiting to see that.

  • i want a polar bear too!

  • yes that is all

  • lol there went his jaw!

  • polar bears are greedy=)

  • i want a polar bear :(

  • This was by far the best scene in the entire movie.

  • The movie lasted less than two hours, and they kept telling they were too short in time to fill the whole sotry out.. hmm.. something is not right here ;)

  • that would be lol. someone would be slapping their Daemon over and over and ask, " Why you hitting yourself?"

  • Hmm..Iofur's voice sounds so familiar to me...Who is it?

  • the voice of iufor or ragnar is the voice of tai lung,a character of kung fu panda

  • Ah. That would explain why it was so familiar

  • Oh wow, this was unexpected. They skipped like, the whole part when Lyra lets the kids escape from that camp thing. That was like a whole 5 chaps or so lol. But this was still cool. I love Iorek. Fun note: in the book Iorek eats the heart of the other bear after he wins. Think they thought that would be too graphic to show on screen lol

  • accsuly they jasst wanted to do it for kids as well so... if theyill make a grownup versen it wold be swell! (P.S sorry about my bad spelling)

  • they changed the order...

  • It must be very difficult to find talking polar bears!

  • i love the movie though, but i still haven't read the book...

  • i love the bears armer! it so cool

  • i thought that lyra goes to Boulavang first

  • sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>sorry>

  • yeah i agree if there was alittle more this movie would be fantastic, whencomparing its idea as well. After all like the movie

  • instead of the great visual effects.. the movie is not that great.. (just my thinking, guys..)

but i'm sure the book is great, based on the comments from all of you ppl here..:-D

  • one thing was missing from the fight; blood! in the book it said the snow was turned to slush with blood. in the fight scene there was no blood!

  • she looks quite expressionless.thats awful

  • definately expressionless.... her acting is sooooooo dry and the movie is trash.

  • Maybe she's just not that good of an actress, or she finds it difficult to express the rigt emotions in front of a green screen? She hasn't got that much experiende, has she? But you're sorta right, acting is about playing the role, and she isn't really good at showing the right emotions, quite a pity....

  • Oh yeah...and isn't Ragnar's real name Iofur Raknison? That's his name in the book....but I guess it was a hard name to say or something so they shortened it.

  • I think they changed it for people who hadn't read the book, they thought people would confuse the two names.

  • IS THAT ALL!?!?!?!?!?!

  • YES. THAT IS ALL.

  • She could have put a LITTLE more emotion into it when she said

"Oh Pan, what have I done? Ragnar's too strong!"

  • Suggoi job.

  • The bears are the characters that impressed me the most so far. The duel was terrifyingly beautiful.

  • Yurik or ragnoor?Who is best?:)

  • oh my

    i agree with inkprince lol...

  • she is so bad.

  • Bears with armor! oh well.

  • This is one of the best scenes on the all movie!!

    "its that All"

    and scratch

    CLEAN CUT lol

  • yeahhh i love most this part and the part she convince eric to follow her....still i was a bit scare bcoz the bear look fierce....

  • If you had read the books, you'd be disappointed at the end. So much is left out.

  • The only good part of the movie to me. "Is that AAALLLL!" Crunch, jaw goes flying."Yes,that is all."

  • Sometimes you bite the bar and, well, sometimes the bar bites you.

  • 8:20 Bear's bottom jaw comes flying off!

That was the highlight of the movie for me!

  • movie is a shit compared to the book-_-

  • this movie is a lot of brilliant actors and pictures but where is the storyline?

Are the books as bad as this too?

  • nah, the books are better. But reading the books makes the film better because you know whats going on.

  • fuck yeah, bear fight!

  • brilliant fight, but in the book there was more imagery of the white snow and the blood. The fight was a hell of a lot bloodier than this.

I wish they hadn't made this a kids film...it wasn't really a kids book in all honesty.

  • There's really no use nitpicking, though, I guess. Transferring a book from pages to a screen is gonna change some things, and often not just because they're too bloody. And reading about blood is a lot less unpleasant than actually seeing the blood flow around; they figured a wider audience would be watching this movie than was reading the book, I'd guess.

  • I hope the evil bear wins, as i am the owner of a poison company.

  • epic bear fight

this scene needs some roundhouse kick

  • Ohhhh this is my favourite part through the whole entire movie! :D

  • watch the ice bridge closely from 9:54 n u can see summat movin on it

the figure is lyra from a scene that is show in the next part

  • Actually, this scene was supposed to take place at the end of the movie, but got moved to this point in the film when they changed the ending. That's why it feels so out of place and some of the lines don't make sense. This was originally supposed to be after Asriel kidnaps Roger and Lyra is riding up to the summit to stop him. The figure you see walking across the bridge is actually Asriel.

  • the acting in this reminds me of Skins...Ahhh, what a shit show

  • Omg i thought the bear was going to die.

I cried lol, has he limperd.

But he saw the little girl and gave 1 last effort such a brave bear!

  • that battle scene was pretty tight:)

  • It would be cool to have a polar bear as a friend

  • Wow... I love how there's like, no blood at all when Iorek swipes the king's jaw off.

    Book > movie.

  • Agreed, I really didn't think they'd show that part. I missed it and had to skip back.

It's a shame they had to change so much of the story. Anyone who hasn't should read the book for sure.
