SJP back when she looked like a girl from the foothills of the Appalachians. Much more refreshing than her current the girl who defies natural law look.
TVLand played this song for their show The Cougar.(Chuckle!)
Square Pegs might come across as a period piece today,but when it was on in 1981 the show was fully with-it.There are still things which teenagers can relate to in the stories.I wish all 20 episodes were on YouTube.
It seems Patti was more comfortable saying her own words than what Lauren told her to say.Especially when she said,"My life is over.I might as well dance with Johnny Slash."(Totally true line,totally.)
@nerdflanders8710 Oh come on! To each his own, but I've yet to hear a convincing criticism of this show. Ca ca doesn't quite work for me, and the grand irony is that's a phrase stuck in the early 80s.
I don't have a square to spare. I can't spare a square.

SJP is awesome! The laugh track is distracting, though.

Fantastic! I loved this show so much and have been a fan of SJP ever since.
And still love that song so much - both of them actually. RIP Patty Donahue.

Gosh, this takes me back! Thanks for posting it. I don't remember the canned laughter being so random and unnecessary.

this show rocked!!! It was way ahead of it's time especially in Australia. I don't think it even lasted a whole season....

It was cancelled pretty quickly, which is too bad, because it was quite good.

@bartonim I smell a homo .
you can blah blah blah all you like but at the end of the day its a crappy program.

You've got to think how ahead of its time this was. Compare it to shows of the same era, Kotter etc.; Square Pegs was downright edgy.
