Simply phenomenal talent ! All three of these women are brilliant singers, especially the middle lady, when her voice becomes audible the second time around its as if the goddess of song herself has descended from on high to take to the stage !

Ike copyrighted The Ikettes name, paid the girls peanuts & they changed all the time In 1960 Robbie Montgomery Frances Hoges & Sandra Harding were 1st & backed Tine on "A Fool In Love." Then Robbie & amoung others, Jessie Smith & Venetta Fields. Eloise Faye & Joshie Armstead next. Then Dolores Johnson sang "I'm Blue" on 1st Ikettes single & made 19 in US Hot 100. Bonnie Bramlett was only white Ikette in 1962. Others were PP Arnold etc. They got $nil from the singles sales.
