Love this band. Wish they would make a comeback. Istill prefer these guy's over Metallica. James H. wishes he could write stuff this good. Larrs, step aside, Shannon has you beat any day
This album had reggea, classical, record scratching, and fucking METAL for days. Shit should have been huge. They were dream theater before dream theater but way more entertaining. Sucks that it went over everyone's heads. Still one of my favorite albums of all time.
I wish Wrathchild America was still together. I never got to see them in concert. It use to piss me off watching Headbangers Ball back in the early 90's, for 3 hours of videos, you'd be lucky to see 30 minutes of good thrash videos, it was all glam rock shit. And MTV barely showed the same the thrash videos multiple times like shit from Aerosmith, Kiss, Winger and all the glam rock crap that was out at that time.
@WrathchildVA daaammm brotha,,hate to hear that,,,how did ya NOT get to go to a live W.C.A show....i dont have the heart to tell ya how many times we got to see and hang with dez muggz from late "climbing the walls era to the S.A.Z change over.
This band was awesome!!! talented musicians.... i saw some footage on how they started off as a garage band earning 150 dollars a week running around local bars trying to make ends meet, but still they stayed away from that 80´s Glam Rock and kept their own influences.... thank you for posting this \m/
Many nights at the Rabbits Foot in Frederick, Good times, I was amazed at the Drummer he was like 19 years old or some shit and had incredibly fast double kickers. I'm a good drummer but this kid was the shit and he grew up in the next County in Martinsburg WV.
Wrathchild America. goddamn what an amazing band, i barley discovered them from my bro, i wish they were still around, i mean listen to this its like 20's Metal it seems as if they missed there boat, I believe they couldve have been a band next to Megadeth,Anthrax, And Slayer. **WrathChilD AmericA**
Thee best bar band to catch live! Originality and creativity and some humor as Shannon sings "Slave To My Dick" and "Somebody put something in my drink". And a bunch of other songs no other bar band had the guts to play. Thanks for the buzz guys!
This album reminds me of back in the day when we left for Modesto at the drop of a dime. 2 a.m. we left Los Angeles just so friend can see his gurl. And this was one of many road tunes we had. Good times. Good times. I miss those days.
My first Metal concert back in JrHigh!.. this guys opened for Testament.. I was in the pit for the first time, only 13 years old..... i miss those Days!!
Hehe, yeah, I know what you mean! In the interview that Brad and Shannon did for the 'Ball, they referred to the energy of the "kids" during a live show. Those "kids" were your typical 17 year olds at the time. And now we're in our mid 30's!
Look people, Wrathchild is the only metal band that ever used a 1920's swing line in a metal song. Their creative and everything they've done is underrated. This wasn't just your average garage band and they made it on their creativity as they well deserved for the time and thought they put into their songs.
W.A. will always be one of my favorite bands to ever exist. I miss them! I saw them when I was in elementry school! I remember my older sister taking me to West Springfield, VA to see them in concert (JAXX). THEY WERE AMAZING!!!!!
@fishguru73 I went back reading my own words and I can't believe it was a year ago that I made the comment. To get it exactly right, this is the only metal band that used the absolute 20's swing line for the majority of song and ended on a perfect crime show sound out of the old movies. I love Steve Vai and a ton of others and I can't get enough of great music. These guys never got the credit and recognition they deserved and I will be listening to great stuff like this forever.
AAbsolutely smokin! I saw these guys when I was a spud. These guys put on the best show ever! I am a smokin musician;and I bow to them. They were better live than anybody.I named my boy after Brad Divens! Bradley W.
dude check out these newer thrash bands warbringer, municipal waste, merciless death, lamb of god and there are a shit load of others out there you should definitely check them out
Check out VSD from Baltimore on here. They were around at the same time as Wrathchild. Seven songs recorded live in 1987 including Mental breakdown, Girl Troubles, Life of Scum and 4 other bad ass old school metal songs.
These guys probably should be considered prog-metal because of the time changes and measures, both albums kicked butt, but I think i enjoyed 3-D better, Desert Grins is the best song!
these guys were so cool, its too bad Souls at Zero didnt get more noticed, they were one of the best bands out there!!! thanks for the post, bro!!!(one of my FAVS)

you want to see something good, with shannon? look up another animal.... its with everybody in godsmack minus sully, one of the original guitarist and the former singer from ugly kid joe.... its pretty impressive!
Holy shit, I haven't seen this in 15 years, looked for it just before you posted it, but sadly did not see it. They really nail the 1930's detective vibe. Thank you!!!!!!

agree man they have a bluesy way all in their songs, what makes this stuff fuckin great, and an oldskool thrash band, with Brads voice.
When ive first heard Sorrounded by idiots, it took me 1 week to listen to an other song, from other band.

A real band is one you make, build with your own two hands.
Sorry man but I disagree with you. Godsmack is a cookie cutter band.
If you like Godsmack then thats cool I suppose. To each their own.
But I dont.

well not exactly cookie cutter. I take that back.
I like every aspect of them but not the singer.
I saw them at Monsterfest or Ozzfest, and they did a 20 minute long version of Voodoo. Even the band looked bored. I guess it stuck with me.
(BTW sorry about the post under the name robotchikkin, I have a few names, heheh.)
I tll you what, Ive got a CD of theirs floating around somewhere. I'll listen to it.

This is the best part about YouTube--seeing shit that's lost, isn't being sold, and hasn't been seen in decades. These guys rocked.
Of course, the drummer is in Godsmack now, so you can still see him on a national stage, if that's your thing.
