Bands like H.E.A.T., Crazy Lixx, Dr. Altenhof, and Crash Diet are all bands that are sort of just starting out. yeah, many people under 21 do believe the nirvana crap. For me that was when i stopped watching mtv. I mean, they constantly played the bands like ratt, motley crue etc. Which was great. Then suddenly all they can do is insult the bands that helped get them alot of their viewers for so many years??

Who the hell is Blue Murder? The best thing David Lee Roth did was hire Steve Vai. Def Leppard or Dio ARE NOT Hair metal. MSG? Micheal Shenker didn't stick with that long did he? Scorps kick ass. Quiet Riot ...not hair metal. Stryper doesn't count...Christian Metal. Lita Ford solo maybe but not Warlock. WASP is not. What about The Vinnie Vincent Invasion? you left them out.

Also, Blue Murder was an "all star" band formed in 1989 by former Whitesnake guitarist John Sykes. Former King Kobra Drummer Carmine Appice & former The Firm (a post zeppelin Robert Plant band) Bassist Tony Franklin.
Not Only were Quiet Riot glam themselves but their success helped start the scene in 1983-84

@wormsinfestedfetus You are totally right. You can find some bands that have that hair metal/sleaze sound if you look around on youtube. Bands like H.E.A.T., Crazy Lixx, Dr. Altenhof, and Crash Diet are all bands that are sort of just starting out. Hair metal just may make comeback; it comes down to what people want to hear I guess, which is currently Rebecca Black for some reason.

i think he put metallica in here with these other bands just to make sure they were in with all these other great bands. i am a fan of the hairbands and i am also a fan of metallica megadeth iron maiden slayer. just cause someone is a fan of the hairbands does not mean thats all they like. i also listen to classical/pop/blues (which is where most music is spawned from) and some country. so i think my taste in music is well rounded.

This whole list completely SUCKS except for Def Leppard and Slaughter! And GuysSeriously the music from the 80's was a hell of a lot better than what they have now. Don't knock the music that a lot of us grew up with. Yeah the 70's had some good music but it sounds like you were a complete metal head. There are still some bands from the 80's that are still rockin on so don't knock the 80's!
