I have a problem. I can't even start the quest. I have beaten the game, and I tried starting this quest, but he just walks around, highlighted in green, but unresponsive.
This happened to me! I tried to give him the head after I did the whole quest (And I hate Wraithmarsh so it took some convincing) He ran away into the graveyard and flew up into the air. I killed everyone around and he came back down, but he is useless. (Wont follow. or accept head)
this is a notorious quest, love hurts and this whole cemetery business altogether is so fucked with glitches and that asshole peter molynuex never released any patches to fix any of it. how the hell does this shit get passed during testing!?!?!??! WTF! i had that same problem my first time as sammy, all those problems, and then after starting a new fucking game(which is a bunch of bullshit) i beat the story first then went and did loveh urts. now i cant beat the crypt cuz i cant hit the flit
I know how to fix it!!! I had the exact same problem with one of my characters. You go knock on the door at the graveside mansion, then go back to where he was flying, unless you are told to hold green there. You might have to repeat the process, of going to him and knocking a couple times, hold the accept green thingie, then go to hobbe cave and get the lower body. When you come back, the door to the mansion should be open and he should be upstairs. Then you can continue the quest.
To start the love hurts quest u dont talk to the guy, u hit A on the door to the graveyard mansion. At least that worked for me =P cause the guy wouldnt talk to me.

So, since there's no body to answer the door, you just hold the accept button after knocking twice. Then go to hobbe cave. When you return to the graveside mansion, the door will be open, and he will be waiting upstairs. It just takes patience.
I have the same issue, but in addition lady grey is alive. At first i didn't realize who it was because i thought she was a villager. Is lady grey alive for everyone else?
If you're still having problems with Fable 2, (The "love hurts" quest) all you have to do is find the graveside mansion and knock twice, then hold the accept button. go to hobbe cave and retreive the lower body part, then when you return to the graveyard, he'll be in the house, upstairs, the door will be open, and you are free to finish the quest and more, without error.
guys i've found a fix, if it refuses to give the head to the grave keeper, focus on him (LT) and go expressions-social-follow. And Victor should follow, take him to the mansion and down into the basement, the door should lock, and he should take the head and the quest will be complete! :D Worked for me :D
weird... i have a similar problem. I have collected all 3 body parts but i cant give him the head. The quest tells me to recover it, but if i go to the tomb its ot there and i have the head in my inventory... nice, right?

same thing to me but worst. He is on the floor at that spot but stuck even when i smash him to bits with my legendary blunderbus he wobbles but doesnt move this is complete bullshit i need the mansion for my last achievement. 45k of ruler of albion!

Same thing happening to me. I've read on a forum that one guy played on and finished the main quest then the guy was back on the ground so he could talk to him.
this issues seems to be more common than i thought it was,this glitch happened numerous times to me, he started floating and after a few game days he came back down. i continued the quest and managed to collect the head but i could not give the head to him, instead both him and what i assume was the lady gray just stood in the same spot together and would not move!!! (and they occasionally decided to go hovering with each other)

So I've already beaten the game and I'm finishing all the quest, one of which being Love Hurts.
It's fine until I go to turn the head in.
The whole "door closed but I can walk through, quest restart" ordeal occrs.
Can't finish quest/buy mansion.
Honestly, I don't give a fuck about Lady Grey.
I'm pissed though because I can't get into Shelly Crypt now to collect the Silver Key.
There goes getting all 50 Keys.
You'd think two years after release Lionhead would've found a patch for this.

Exactly the same thing happened to me and you cant kill him either, so you cannot buy the property, grrr lets hope lionhead sort this one out soon.

so many bugs with this missions...i went to turn in the head of lady grey and this is what happened:
1. It gave me the wrong directions to the house
2. The door was shut at the front of the house and I could walk through the closed door.
3. It didn't let me turn in the quest
4. I went back outside and he said the same things he said in the beginning, "I'm not home..."
5. I CANT TURN IN THE QUEST!
6. I've tried STARTING OVER but it doesn't work.
7. I've started over THREE times!

Similar things happened to me. Once I beat the game and went to back to finish the quests it work fine. Try that out.

On mine, he wont talk to me and if i go in the mansion, to the baseent the door shuts behind me and i cant get out. I have to re load the game.
