Hey, I've got a couple questions:

Will this work with downgrading from 5.0.1?

Can it take me back to 4.2.6?

Do I need the SHSH Blobs, because I don't have those?

@JJECKLE13 no you can NOT. SHSH files are saved for a specific firmware for a specific device. so lets say i send you my SHSH file for 4.3.3 you cannot use that to downgrade your device to 4.3.3

Hi, I used my iphone 4 with a gevey Sim card on IOS 4.2.1 and it worked just fine and then I updated it to IOS 5.0.1 and my Baseband is now set to 04.11.08 and I can not get network anymore, I am now on a tethered jailbreak using IOS 5.0.1 but my iphone 4 is bassically like an iPod because I can only use Wi-Fi to connect to the web and it always says "no Network" even when I try to Manually select my Network,

Could you please help me with this problem and let me know what the best option is for me in order for my iPhone to work again because I see a lot of people having problems trying to downgrade back to the previous IOS. and also, does downgrading your IOS back to 4x also downgrade your Basaband or not? @Jtzllfy Idk how to fix Baseband problems. I never have to unlock my phone so i havent researched into that. try searching google or youtube for a way to solve that. downgrading your software may do something but sometimes upgrading to stock iOS firmware permanently updates your BB

@CardMagicz98 that will not work. SHSH Blobs are specific to your device and the software you are running. if i sent my blobs to you it would do you no good because the blobs i send you will only work for my device

Hey bro, I followed your video which was very clear but as I try to restore from 5.0 to 4.2.6 I get an error message unknown error occurred (1) I also tried restoring to 4.2.8 and I get the same error. I used Tiny Umbrella and it tells me I have SHSH blobs for 4.2.10 and 4.2.8 but I never upgraded to them from 4.2.6 and went right to 5.0.0. Please help, Thanks in advance

@jgreenjs Your welcome and you actually do not have to be on a software to saved that softwares SHSH Blobs. if you are using iFaith you have to be but Redsnow you do not. iFaith can save the SHSH file on the current software you're on at any time. TU saves them if you are or are not on them but it only saves them if Apple is still signing for that firmware. anyway, to solve your problem they said something about the iOS 5 downgrading works different. but....

@jgreenjs ... i believe there isnt anything changed going from 5.0 to any iOS 4 so you should be fine but im not sure on that, so that may be the problem. its saying unknown error so that doesnt help us too much lol but i would try a google search. or try upgrading your itunes. sometimes upgradin your iTunes may be worse but because you're already getting an error you may want to try that. if ur already on the newest itunes i really dont know a way to fix this except to say....

@jgreenjs ..... check and make sure you are selecting the correct ipsw when downgrading in itunes. enter DFU mode (if you havent been doing that) before you downgrade (itunes will automatically say you need to restore if you are in DFU) and also make sure that TSS server is running good luck!

why everytime I do the shift and restore and I put the ipod3,1_4.2.1_8c184_restore.ip­sw and iTunes keep saying the iPod "iPod" could not be restored because the firmware file is not compatible? Plz help me I been doing this for 2 weeks now and still can't get iOS 5 on my iPod touch 3G.

@Youngbones63 Did you start the TSS Service? And before downgrading you should have your device in DFU Mode. iTunes will recognize it as recovery so once it says there is an iPod in recovery mode that needs to be restored that is where you click shift restore and pick your software. also make sure that TSS Service is started in tiny umbrella. And to get to iOS 5 you just have to choose shift restore then pick the iOS 5 software. no DFU or TSS Service required for that. Just need UDID Registered

@thebrandomania Yes you can as long as you have the SHSH Blob saved for the desired firmware you want to downgrade to. Except I've never been on 4.3.4 or 4.3.5 so idk about those but i believe you can too

@Sanchezalex68 error code 1 or 9 means the device was dissconnected, i'm on 4.3.5 with 4.3.3 shsh and ive gotten that one a few times ive also gotten 1013, 1600, 1601, 3004, 3014, 20 and I am still stuck at 4.3.5. I havent yet tried pwnagetool which I normally do for 3g/3gs and it works perfect without shsh to 4.1 (even worked with stock 4.1 even though 06.15.00 was installed just had to recboot it). ive tried both osx and windows

@Ipodperfection yes as long as you start the TSS service in tiny umbrella and you have the SHSH blob saved to whatever firmware your desire to go to it will work. I have successfully already downgraded from beta 4 to 4.3.3

@iTechEveryWeek thats exactly what i did, i followed everything, dfu mode, recovery, editing hosts, nothing works, can you possibly make a video?, and what iTunes were you on? 10.3 or 10.4? because i got mine to restore to 4.3.3, and it just went to recovery mode, and i was forced to restore, tiny umbrella didn't work to take it out of recovery, I'm currently stuck on 4.3.5

@Ipodperfection ok. now i have never been on 4.3.4 or 4.3.5 so i have no idea what Apple did with those firmwares. it was very odd of them to release them at this time so I'm a little bit curious on that. However, i would assume you would be able to downgrade like normally. the iTunes I'm on is 10.5 Beta 4 on Mac. So make sure you are running that iTunes and try this again. Also if it doesn't work try it one more time. DFU mode sometimes doesn't cooperate.

@Ipodperfection apparently apple started signing for the 4.1 SHSH blob so if you don't have a blob saved for previous versions of 4.X then save that one using tiny umbrella. if you do have any SHSH blob saved you will be able to restore to it though by watching this video.

@Canneverdoit Ok yes it does work with beta 3 i confirmed that now. download tiny umbrella (just search for it on google) then start the TSS service in TU and then put ur iDevice in DFU and try to restore to 4.3.3.

MAKE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR IDEVICE BEFORE DOING THIS.

@lukakapyro You can't lose you SHSH files as far as i know. once you save them with TinyUmbrella there saved. If they are appearing in Cydia you have them saved. The only reason I can think they aren't showing up in TinyUmbrella is because of the program not working correctly. I would try updating TU if it isn't fulling up to date. Also if that doesn't work then try restore again. But Yes you do need it 4.3.3 saved to restore to it now.

@lukakapyro the crashing and going into safe mode is most likely a tweak or some kind of package you have installed from Cydia. normally my idevice goes into safe mode when i have too many things installed from Cydia at that point i restore and start all over again with a nice fresh restore and get things running nicely again.
