Made my Holiday! Happy Easter! Been a fan of this theme since I discovered the radio show from BBC first, before the movie. Both are terrific, as this fellow's adaptation of Anton Karas; I always wondered what it would sound like on an acoustic; now I know. Chops.
Awesome! I saw the original version by Anton Karas first and couldn't believe my eyes (and ears of course :-)). But play that on guitar - congratulations :-)
Thanks! If you like the guitar version you might wnat to check out Marcel Dadis version (this is from the tab of his arrangement). I list the CD details in the notes - he was an excellent guitarist.
Hey! Really good. It must be tough to keep the constant bass pattern an an independent top line going at the same time. You must have two brains! Congratulations!
its me again could you please could you please send the cd details so i can order it,the record label and disc number or even where you bought it.searched the net to no avail.regards paul
ASIN is B00000I3QB and it shows on the UK Amazon site too. The 2 volume version has the guitar tab so I have to assume this does as well but could easily be wrong. May have to wait for a while for it to ship though.
Thanks for the comments. Your English is a lot better than my French. I got the printed tab with a CD by Marcel Dadi. Details are in the notes with the original video. Hope that helps.
Haven't heard it for years now (one of those records you lend out - that never returns) but it reminded me straight away of the Chet Atkins version circa mid '60's. Still way beyond my slim talents though.
On the liner notes for the Marcel Dadi CDs it's fairly clear he was heavily influenced by Chet Atkins so that makes a lot of sense. Some other Chet Atkins pieces on the CD too.
I am looking for an mp3 with this music. I try to download it, but its extremely rare. maybe you can give me a hand? your play is great btw, and the movie is one of the best ever, all the originalities etc.
Brilliant video. I just had the pleasure of seeing this film for the first time last week in my Film Noir class, and it is absolutely incredible, due in part to the amazing music. It's infectious. Great job!
Thanks - I'll definitely check that out. A different tuning might be worth investigating too since the chords in the version are a little awkward to transition.
