It's the guitar. The guitar is connected to a box which is then connected to a long tube that comes up and into the side of the mouth. When Peter is mimicking the sound of the guitar, the sound of the guitar through the tube in his mouth replaces his voice all before it ever reaches the microphone.

Oops my bad. I almost forgot. The guitar is plugged into the amp. but the speaker is routed through the talk box so the sound of the guitar does not come from the amp, but rather through the talk box.

kyzrvlhlm1995 : The talkbox doesn't manipulate the sound through a speaker. The sound comes through the tube, then it's manipulated by the player's mouth movements and then it's captaded by the mic. That's the reason why the tube goes right next to the mic stand. The overall sound of the guitar + talkbox effect is then sent to the mixer (through the mic channel) and then to the monitors/speakers.

@gabrius99 its a talkbox because there is a tube, a vocoder does vocal modulation via a microphone the talkbox allows you to manipulate a tiny speaker with your mouth via that tube (its only on a mic stand to make it tidy)
