Something to think about: Bush did not even show up at the GOP Convention. You got the president (representative of the Republican party) not even show up for his convention. Because (i) I have a sense of humor, which I find most liberals don't, (ii) I don't think the skit shows that she's unqualified to be VP (and I'm not sure there are any qualifications anyway), and (iii) most importantly, I vote for the top of the ticket, and I'd never vote for an unqualified, thin skinned, empty suit radical tax and spend anti-American liberal who has demonstrated a willingness to use government power to shut down critics. As a UK citizen I don't quite understand why 'liberal' is a bad word in US politics. Liberalism is a political strand all about freedom and individual liberty. And I thought America was all about liberty (the statue...?) and the 'American dream'! Anyone against liberalism is against freedom - hardly an attractive position for a patriotic american.

As a US citizen, I don't understand why the UK has become so liberal as to allow sharia law in some of its cities. Sharia law is a political strand all about violence and "an eye for an eye" attitude.
America was founded on the ideas of freedom, individual liberty and personal responsibility. Liberals want to force us into a socialist society, which is not 'freedom'. I would hardly expect a Brit to understand. I suppose you enjoy your huge income and sales tax and horrible medical care.

because in the U.S., a 'liberal' doesn't refer to the complete unit of liberty (economic+social) as it did in the minds of the founding fathers. So now you have right wingers who mistakenly think their party supports economic freedom, and left wingers who mistakenly think their party supports civil liberties, and the end result is a 2-party false paradigm where the federal government intrudes on free markets at every turn and rips away civil liberties by the day.

Something to think about: Bush did not even show up at the GOP Convention. You got the president (representative of the Republican party) not even show up for his convention. McCain is clearly distancing himself from any affiliation with Bush, yet he voted 90% of the time with him. All it takes is common sense to see that there is something distrusting about this.

Because (i) I have a sense of humor, which I find most liberals don't, (ii) I don't think the skit shows that she's unqualified to be VP (and I'm not sure there are any qualifications anyway), and (iii) most importantly, I vote for the top of the ticket, and I'd never vote for an unqualified, thin skinned, empty suit radical tax and spend anti-American liberal who has demonstrated a willingness to use government power to shut down critics. If elected, Barak Obama will be our Hugo Chavez.

Whittlerst, 1st you assume anyone who supports Obama/Biden to be a liberal: wrong. 2nd, you vote for McCain but do you realize he's 72 and can pass on at any moment, making Palin (govenor of a state with less people than Boston?! Mayor of a town with less people than a small college? That's what she boasts as her experience, btw).
Then you have McCain the "maverick" who voted 90% of the time with Bush on critical issues. Unless you like the state of the US right now, McCain is not the answer.
