I typically use the bar on stuff like this because for some reason my ankles get the most tired. So Deep for example is an easy song but for some reason my ankles hurt so bad after playing it just once.

Getting the AAA, however, is where it all pays off. It's far more impressive to AAA a hard song without the bar than with it. For that matter, it's generally more impressive to get a bar-user's score without the bar. It's also more fun to watch because there's more movement.
