"Life unfolds for me like a theatre presenting a sequence of somewhat unreal sentiments; while the things of art are real to me and go straight to my heart."
Rami, many thanks for the wonderful playing. It's really inspiring and makes me want to learn it. Hey quick question... in measure 7 you don't play the second C# (I have it as an 8th note), instead hold the C# and go right to the B (16th) and then the triplet C#/B/A. I'm wondering if that is artistic licence on your part or is that how it's supposed to be played? (In my score it looks like it's supposed to be played.) Many thanks again!
This version is my own, based on all the many existing versions. However, it is very close to the 1942 version published by International Music Company.
Urtext doesn't mean much, especially with Chopin, who rewrote and republished his compositions over and over and yet when performing used even different versions from the written ones...
Bravo for such lovely tone, rubato, and your own thinking and license on the piece!

Hey Peyton,
Which piano forum? I am on a number of them...
To answer your question, this nocturne has many different versions. You'd probably find many more differences between the versions...
Thanks for your comment and good words.

Wonderful singing tone ...
Which edition is this? The middle passage has different notes than the Mikuli edition, or the Urtext for that matter.
