  • I can't wait to do this!

  • Great Video ! The first title is incorrect though. There is no such place as the Grand Cayman Islands . Grand Cayman ( Grand as in Large) is the Largest of the 3 Cayman Islands, Grand Cayman , Little Cayman and Cayman Brac ( Brac is Welsh Gaelic for Bluff) .

So you can be on Grand Cayman Island in the Cayman Islands but you can't in the Grand Cayman Islands !

  • Every time I go to the Caymans, have to spend part of the day with the Sting Rays. They are so much fun. This is the only place I would touch and play with them.

  • Just got off cruise last week and we did this and dolphin encounter was beast :D

  • Well made video

  • @soskin Thank you!!

  • Such a beautiful place ! I want to go there, how much will it cost me for like.. 1-2 weeks ? Around 2-3k ? I'm from Europe.. so I'll need at least 1k for tickets XD

  • Was there, loved it, bought a Fuji XP underwater /regular camera, it worked great, Highly recommend a water camera if going here.

  • WE WENT THERE

  • haha been there

  • going here in November. Can't wait, love Stingrays. Looking for a good waterproof camera that's not Too expensive. Was this your video or did they take video at the place & sell it to you??

  • @coco1963f No, I took this video myself. They will take pictures of you out there and sell them to you. I don't think they take video.

  • your pictures came out great!! I was just wondering what kind of camera you had. were all the videos and pictures taken with the same camera? I have a regular point and shoot camera that i can buy a plastic case for but im a little nervous that it might leak or something.

    thank you :)

  • I used a Canon 10D with zoom, Kodak waterproof camera, Canon Powershot point and shoot (video, too), Sony video camera. Underwater pics usually turn out dull and muted and have to be corrected on the computer afterwards to bring out the colors.

But my all time favorite dual video/still camera is the Sanyo Xacti WH-1 Waterproof (up to 10 feet) camera! We have taken that video camera snow boarding, to the beach, ocean, in the rain, under water....that thing goes with us everywhere! Love it!

  • I would definitely buy a few of the Kodak or Fugi disposable waterproof cameras before you go on your cruise. But get them at home before you go (they cost twice as much if you wait to buy them from the cruise gift shop and even more if you buy them on the excursion boat from the guys).

These are good to take out to the Flowrider or around the pool area on the cruise ship, too.

  • Hi my family is going here in a couple weeks and we were just wondering if you have to snorkel afterwards or if you can just do the swim. I love stingrays, they are my favorite, and I've swam with them three times at seawold's discovery cove. its amazing. I hope your family had just as much fun on the rest of their trip as they did here!

  • The tour we took included two different stops. First we went to Stingray City to wade in the water with the animals. Then everyone loaded back into the boat and we moved over to the reef for the snorkeling (we weren't there for very long and you don't have to get in the water and snorkel if you don't want to).

It was an incredible tour. We have also been swimming with the stingrays at Discovery Cove but this is a whole different experience since you're actually out in the ocean.

  • OMG me too! I love them! I've swam with them at Discovery Cove in Orlando 3 times and loved it. Now my family is going here in a few weeks and can't wait!

  • Hi, my family and I are going here in April, too, and want to do this. I'm so excited! We were just wondering if you had to snorkel after or if you could just do the swim. If you could reply before we leave it would be really helpful! Thanks! By the way, your family looked like they had a lot of fun! Hope the rest of your trip was just as great! This really helped us make out decision to do this too. It's been one of my dreams since I was little to go here and have this experience. Thanks!

  • I cant wait I go there on April 8th, 2010, but my cruise starts on April 5th, 2010> Only 30 more days!

  • @jcmojo91 Oh, you'll love it! After we visited Stingray City, we went over to 7 Mile Beach. It is a must see!! Beautiful! Have a great vacation!

  • im counting the days til my cruise too only 50 for me! MAY 2ND!! WOOWHOO!

  • i want to do this but my parents think they will attack...any suggestions to tell them?

  • the guides that go with you tell you..."do not touch or pull their tale" that is really the only way you could get it to sting you. When you hold them you point thier nose into your chest which keeps thier tails away from you. They are VERY gently creatures...just like fish. They are a little intimidating at first because they are rather large, but once your in the water you get use to them. I found a new respect for them on my cruise last week. This was an AMAZING experience.

  • Going there in May, can't wait!

  • what day what ship im going on the valor may 2nd! :)

  • that...

    was...

    AWESOME!!!!!

  • Thank you! We LOVE the Grand Cayman Islands...can't wait to go back :)

  • Very cool video. We had a great time at Stingray City in Grand Cayman in May 2008. The Stingrays were awsome...
