Anyone in this "capitalist" society can get health care anytime they want...emergency rooms are open 24 hrs. They may not have insurance , but no health care facility will turn any one away , that even includes illegal aliens, who happen to be a very large load on our health care ststem.

The soviet union was communistic without socialism resulting in a dictatorship. The fall of the soviet union was a victory for socialism.
Former soviet countries went from 2nd world countries to 3rd world countries after the union fell. ( I still don't defend the soviet union)

if people who are poor fall sick, they may not have the sufficient funds necessary to receive proper treatment, no matter the amount of motivation and determination for success they have. this contradicts them the right they should have to achieve stability and the comfort they deserve, while they have opportunity to flourish in a workplace. this is the barrier of capitalism, whilst the barrier of communism is the opposite. not compensating people for their hard work

Anyone in this "capitalist" society can get health care anytime they want...emergency rooms are open 24 hrs. They may not have insurance , but no health care facility will turn any one away , that even includes illegal aliens, who happen to be a very large load on our health care ststem.

okay, although they may receive treatment and help from the hospital, they suffer a traumatizing financial blow, a sad penalty which may infringe the well being of them and their entire family. they may need to sacrifice much of their property or even go into debt in order to compensate. i can talk from personal experience, this can be devastating even to hard working, middle class families, not only poor ones.

being a socialist, i believe that everyone should be compensated for their hard work and achievements. Although it is equally as important not to deny anyone the opportunity for success. (creating a somewhat caste system). although capitalism does reward people for their strenuous labor, it can restrict people the ability of attaining success. privatized health care can be a blatant example of this.

you put up some very valid and proper points in your argument. that is if you were arguing against COMMUNISM. i don't think that you truly understand what socialism is, the medium between the extreme polar opposites of economy; capitalism & communism. socialism can be equally far away from capitalism as it is from communism! and no, it is not always controlled by dictators, that is a whole other wing of politics altogether. it can be just as equally a dictatorship as a capitalist society can be.

"Spread the wealth." Capitalism makes the poor people rich. As McCain said, "I want everyone to be rich."
