an anyone that bitches about the rooftop battle about them fighting with soldiers is rediculus there was a major battle a couple miles away and the army was tied up finally a BW chopper pilote more or less stole a BW little bird to get a wounded marine out of there who had a round thru his neck which the BW guys saved his life and to drop off ammo and supplies the guys on the rooftop were down to single digit ammo then another helo cam in to drop off snipers on other rooftops to help out also

Blackwater send you to course (3 weeks ) but you pay (2500$) before you go to iraq .

Look a lot of soldiers are alive because private security contractors took these missioni of resupplying the Iraqi army or bring in military good for them or medical supplies. In our case we delievered everything from fire trucks to up armor humvees. Did 2 years of this before I went static security. There are guys who have done this longer. I have been in country 5 years. contractors in my mind have saved a lot of lifes. Usually a lot more trained..Yes you do get your cowboys and idiots a lot

The truth is, a lot of the contractors,( and yes, they are mercenaries) are engaged in combat missions. Don't be mislead. The "contractors" are doing their fair share of killing.

Well in Najaf, when the compound came under attack, the best way to defend themsleves and the people around them was to fight back! Sometimes fighting back is the best way to get what you are protecting to safety, you know? God bless our Troops, LE, and PSCs!
