Romeo as one thing better than most of the other "shredders" : is a far best composer than most of them, has a real "Metal" feel, he can write deep and sophisticated songs, as well as more "in your face" songs... and he has the best vocalist of his generation (Russel Allen)... I just don't get why Symphony X isn't as famous as Rhapsody or Nightwish...

You can always tell the young and stupid or just stupid by the comment's.Having a one and only favorite musician for a musician is an absurd impossibility; that would be like having a one and only restaurant or type of food for that matter or 1 type of beer or wine or whisky and a 1 and only type of car or house.Variety is one of the greatest spices in life.I love M.R.'s music but I also like Al DiMeolas' and Steve Vais' work and Petrucci isn't a fag just because you've discovered M.R. lately.

Michael Romeo is TECHNICALLY better than Petrucci. No doubt. Which one you like best is subjective, but Romeo is the more skilled of them..

I'm not sure whether i agree or not... Petrucci is a better riffer (imo...), but Romeo is the better composer when it comes to chord tensions, which is kinda obvious since he's a classicaly educatet player... I must say that Petrucci has epic solo moments which i never thought Romeo really beat, but well... Each man to his own taste...
