you should by a turtle with it a red eared slider thats all they need is thats so perfect for him/she but if you go to petsmart they will have them for 20 dollars so yahh i have one and i love it its such a good pet

I would recommend an Oscar fish. I have had mine for 2 months now and it's a very entertaining fish.

12 inches width is a bit on the thin side though. My 55 gallon has a 16 inch width and 20 inch height.

for a 55 gallon.

going over 1 oscar is a not so good idea... lots of people on youtube doing it but still its over crowding and long term.. mean. besides with 1 oscar you'll form up a better bond and are likely to get more enjoyment from the fish. they're like tiny aquatic bulldogs.

you'll need:

a filter system. something like aquaclear 110, or if you can find a tetra whisper of the same size range.

a heater (76-84 degrees F.)

a lid with a light would be nice. they are known for jumping.

yeh i was thinking tht more than 1 oscar is too much..i have the lid and 48 inch lamp , i can get the heater and filter from my local petsmart, along with the huge supply of fish
