  • Don't blame the framerate, your fingers were simply moving too fast!

  • @EvilLouie lol, thanks man!!

  • the cuality of video is a shit. the sound is great

  • great job!!! really enjoeyd to listen

  • Superb! it's always nice to see how the mighty Tony Banks wrote/played stuff.

  • This is incredible, could you please give me some tips on getting that amazingly close arp sound with the minimoog?

  • Ah Ha ! here is a chance to hear the beautiful keys behind the vocal part clearly. A solo in it´s own right. Thanks.

  • I was late for work because I could'nt tear myself away from this..

  • Jesus Chist men! You are doing that with a Korg X5D !!!!

    So great...!

  • @xxbrotam no man, x5d isnt capable of doing this. I used Arturia minimoog and NI b4 II

  • @cactusfloyd Is the Arturia, NI and b4II stand alone units or is it software? I'm trying to picture how you do this real time.

  • @Helicon7007 both are software. everyithing, the hammond and the soloist is software. it's amazing how close these things are to the real thing

  • Very Good!

  • GREAT

  • WOW! SO WELL DONE!

  • How did you go about emulating the ARP sound? Are you using a software synth or a sound on the keyboard?

  • i am just using an arturia minimoog vst, with some tweaks it can sound exactly as an ARP

  • @cactusfloyd I'd love to know what those tweaks were :)

  • That was amazing, and the end was PERFECT! Always loved the ending live better than on LP!

  • I am commenting from my step brothers account because I don't feel like logging onto mine... but I just want you to know sir...

If you figured out how to play this by transcribing it or whatever it's called from the song, you are a god among men, but even if you just learned how to play this from some sheet music you didn't create, you're still a great man.

  • congratulazioni from italy

  • Fantastic! Your voicings and sounds (timbres, vibrato, portamento etc.) are very, very close to the original. Thanks also for chosing the live vesion of the ending. At 2:00 your two voice analog synth arpeggi are spot on!!!! Thanks for sharing.

  • Fantastic ! The Banks touch ....

  • Thanks, it's great !!!

  • pretty good. i wish the frame rate was a bit higher tho

  • the tone actually reminds me of a video game, like from a sega, or a gameboy or something like that

  • i love the keyboard part played during the verse, it's so melodic and beautiful

  • Fantastic!!

One of my favourite Genesis KB solos, done amazingly well!!

    Congrats!

  • Perfect! Bravo!

you achieved reproducing perfectly the genesis solo, so I finally could listen to every detail. thanks and congratulations.

  • It seems you need an extra hand for the pitch bend parts, other than that, spot on! Five leather-jacketed stars.

  • And watching this clip again... I don't think you need that extra hand at all :^) Keep it up cactusfloyd!

  • Using a keyboard controller that has aftertouch, he could probably do the pitch bends a lot like the original Pro Soloist did!

  • Just incredible!

  • This is incredible. I didn't know that modern keyboards could sound this good, or so much like the sound of The Lamb. You're great, and must really love the music.

    Love 'n' light

    -Rael

  • wow loving it!

  • Your sampled sounds are perfect! How did you get that arp soloist feel to them?

  • hi, the sounds are not sampled, i got it just messing up with the arturia's minimoog. it can be very similar to arp as you can see

  • Nice job! you really nailed it!

  • NICE

  • SWEETNESS man- you've got it down! I was drumming along with you pounding on my thighs, and it was perfect.

You are not like so many posers out there who play all these songs and don't bother to get the chords right.

    Bravo.

  • Bravo!!!!! your work is inspiring. It must give you great joy to play these songs. I can tell by listening to you play that you are not only a perfectionist but that you truly love these songs and are an exceptional musician. Have you posted Back in NYC or Hairless Heart? Keep up the great work whatever ou do and thank you for the post it is great stuff.
