  • if you google for kibood هوار ,there is a website who says the lyrics of this song is a bandari song, bandari means "of the port people",referring to the people of southern iran around persian gulf

  • it's farsi(persian) but a southern accent

  • Persian or Farsi he is Iranian.

  • really nice song. allthough I am an Indian and don't know the language but the composition is one of the best I have heard in my life. Keep on the good work

  • Shout (or cry for help, a call) shout, shout, rain is coming

Shout, shout, shout, my companion is coming

My dear soulmate, I'm weary (nostalgic) of your distance (absence or separation)

My heart is rueful and doesn't have a fortitude [to wait]

Rain is coming [down] and my sweatheart is coming [too]

Shout, shout, shout, my dear beloved [darling] is coming

  • The first time he says: "yarom" miayaya! That means "my friend" or "my soulmate", not "baroon" miayad :P

  • Shout, shout, shout, [I can't make up this part, sorry]

Every day and night, my eyes are after the road [that you'll come in from]

[Please] come to me, this heart is impatient [antsy and anxious]

My companion is coming, my partner is coming

  • loool be un ghiafeye lati aslan in lahje nemiad loool but its awsome though

  • It made me recall Urdu version with similar lyrics..

    Hawa Hawa ...aay Hawa

    But I like Persina version.

  • nemige hawa mige havar havar....hahahah

  • great singer, composer, arranger, bass and guitar player

  • What a Gem. Excellent post!

  • This is the silliest song I heard, Looks like hes at the firing squad

  • Oh come on... give the guy a break. He was probably a shy person and didn't feel too comfortable singing in front of an audience. This is my guess. Back in the 70's, I guess this type of music was the "in" thing. ??? I actually like it. I have to admit, he was a handsome guy back then wow those eyes. LOL I'm serious.

  • This is a very popular bandari song. I'm surprised you don't like it.

  • Does anybody know who was the original singer of this song? 'cause this is a jonoobi_bandary song and Kourosh is not jonoobi! or is he?

  • I found also an azeri song - reyhan - by karoush... i would like to know, is there a kurdish song by karoush!

  • its koroush na karoush, get the name right.

  • love this song

  • sibilash mano koshte!!

  • Lovely song! Is Kourosh still performing? Does he ever perform in the U.S.? Just wondering; I don't know much about him except for his fine songwriting. I also heard he decided to stay in Iran despite the restrictions on artists...

  • guitar wow and dar wow

  • I love this song even though it is old. Does anyone know if he is still singing or retired? That voice is so...wow! Can anyone tell me what's going on with Kourosh these days? Is he Christian?

  • Why Christian?

  • Just wondering... Do you know?

  • almost in love with song.. and khoutosh looks sexy. i mean look at the way he is dessedup just too cool.i believe this song he composed it in early 70s. that makes it more special.

  • I agree!

  • he is so cool.i m from india and way back in early 90s pakistani singer "hasan jehangir" released his version and was hit.i was in love with a song so decided to research but trust me that was nothing like it.

  • very cute! remindes me of those golden days of childhood we passed before revolution, with a bright future, unlike today.

  • ayvaLL!

  • what a velvety voice

  • So smooooooooooooth :)

  • his looks and voice were so sexy

  • he was deep purple fan

  • were u from?

  • Was he more of a Ian Gillan or a Ricthie Blackmore guy?

  • Is this the original version? I seem to remember a faster version.

  • awesome!!! 70s baby

  • Koroush is my distant cousine and he is well and alive.

  • nice to hear. cheili choshhal shodam. inshallah halesh chub hast... chodahafez!

  • great dad and son,love

  • its super:]

  • great!

  • kasi midune asle in ahnage ro ki khunde? Man dombale asle in ahang hastam.

  • Gorgeous man.

  • Rock on with that groovy, funkadelic spin on the bandari tip!

    This is a serious jam!

  • Notice the way he is dressed up..This was really hip back in the late 70s. Thanks for reviving old memories.

  • this song actually takes me to hot alleys by the Karoun river all the way to the persian gulf, i have to shake it when i hear it, cant't help it

  • loveeeeeeeeeeeeee this song i didn't kourosh yaghmayee sang this song

  • i find that there are two kinds of persian looks ,for example ,one kind is like kourosh yaghmaie, one kind is like the iranian football player Mehdi Mahdavikia .those two kinds of look are very different ,i cant believe that they coe from on erace, but they both representative,so i want to know which is the typical persian looks

  • If you still believe in the concept of races as absolutes you are mistaken my friend. Everyone is mixed, we just have trends and features; races starting mingling thousands of years ago. There seems to be many type of features in iranians, I looked at mehdi and couldn't fit all iranians into two categories; but definitely I think most people would agree the classic or ancient persian look is closer to Kourosh Yaghamie than Mehdi.

  • He is really cool...

  • he is a str8 pimp im using some of his samples for my music... i want to get his greatest hits.. just cant find it

  • His greatest hits is named "Gole Yakh"... Says...Chi bekhonam Javonim rafteh sedam rafteh digeh, gole yakh toye delam javoneh kardeh...

  • cool the man is cool his accent is a bit like our barbaris lols

  • This guy Kourosh, and the Golden Ring band and Nasser Cheshm Azar had a lot of class, God bless the late shah that promoted freedom, for the artist to explore their music. praying for the day that the cruel Mullahs will disappear.

  • bache boodam in ahango ziad goosh midadam... kheili ghashange

  • ufoBob, I totally agree, persian music now days sucks out loud when compared to 30-40 years ago. I hate the 6-8 craps. There is no sanity check (let alone for artistic quality) on the crap produced speically in LA. If you got 2k you can produce an album.

  • true that! thats music...

  • the instrumental part is so great. that was the persian pop in 70's. now look to the persian pop. bunch of trash. no more instrumental quality. and he hab much better songs! go koroush go

  • bah bah

  • def. underated!

  • A true Legend...

  • koroush yaghmaei is your friend. listen to kourosh yaghmaei

  • Balleh, doost eh man hast. And he is really hot in that perfect 70's Persian way. Bah, bah.
