@AndrewR5D42 and @amaralmatthewtk - I've heard Skyward Sword is really focusing on the relationship between Link and Zelda. From what I've heard, she's not royalty in Skyward, so it's possible! ;)

@NerfHerderBex In general we've not seen any signs that commoners can't marry royalty anyway in Hyrule. Admittedly, we've seen very little of the Royal Family apart from Zelda one way or the other, but I see no reason to assume that's the case.

@onmask123 Hmm that's true..But still Zelda is royalty. So it wouldn't make sense for Link to marry Zelda since he's not a Prince. Although I do agree they make one heck of a cute couple. lol

@amaralmatthewtk Some games give off the whole Link/Zelda vibe more than others... I don't think this one was one of them. I would say Ocarina of Time and Spirit Tracks fits that.

Besides, I think the original Link, OoT Link, as he came first chronologically (Until Skyward Sword comes out) being the HERO OF HYRULE makes up for the lack of royal blood.

Considering that, in theory, every Link is either a descendant or a reincarnation of OoT Link, I think it makes sense.

@TheWanderingLPer Actually in Wind Waker the King of Red Lions explicitly mentions that the Hero of the Winds has no blood connection to the Hero of Time. My guess is that the Links are always reincarnated, while the Zelda's are from the Royal Line.

After all, according to Ganon, WW Link IS the Hero of Time reborn.

And if he IS then he's still connected to him via past-life-connection, and the tri-force of courage.
