  • Hey my dad picked me one up from a pawn shop for Christmas it was about $700 with a case and it's nearly mint... was that a good buy? this is the FIRST time I've seen the same guitar on the internet since i started looking into it a few weeks ago

  • @Fattynomore4 ya, I think so. It's a solid guitar imho and that's about what I paid for mine. I still need to look up the MSRP, but someone told me it was originally in the 1500-2k range.

  • or just email Ovation's factory, they're very good abut responding although they might take 2-3 working days to get back to you. I ended up emailing them to track down a 1994 USA-made model I had.

  • you can input the serial number on Ovation's web site, or look at their serial # spreadsheets, to determine the make/model/year of construction.

  • @deanc99 really? awesome. I'll try that and update the info here.

  • are u plaged in?

  • @eliastsagariss not plugged in here. just acoustic :)

  • CC44???

  • i saw one that looked like this at sam ash

  • @4nonnahs was it Ovation? I've seen a few similar Ovations, but I've also seen some knock-offs that use the same design... especially in China.

  • @BlazeQ i'm almost sure it was Ovation. they did have a few knockoffs in this store, but i got a real ovation. this was in ohio

  • @4nonnahs nice, hope you enjoy it!

  • Love the sound of these guitars :) probably going to buy one.... Does it sound good unplugged too?

  • @freetje44 ya, I mostly play these unplugged. I've had 4 different models. Surprisingly, the shallower bodies I've had will have a louder acoustic sound.

  • Now I remember why I sold mine....

  • @TheCrystalyne haha why did u sell it

  • which model is this?

  • Great sound

  • Does the guitar have to be plugged in? Or does it sound loud without a plug?

  • @diablo9333 Loud.

  • @diablo9333 it does not need to be plugged in . I have the same one diff colour thou

  • @SiCkScOpEs101 can you plug it in ?

  • @MrDJWn yep

  • @SiCkScOpEs101 does it has a good/descent sound on distortion ? (if i buy this im not gonna use it alot but sometimes i might wanna play with distortion)

  • @MrDJWn yep it has every thing

  • @SiCkScOpEs101 nice :)

  • thats sounds awesome!

  • sitting, waiting, wishing for the first part... very nice

  • @Bomers107 sucked

  • I'm trying to decide between and Ovation Celeb, a Guild GAD-25, and an Epiphone Dave Navarro... please share any advice you may have...

  • I love the guitar. I just don't like the head stock.

  • That is not a cs257 . cs 257 are diffrent down at the 12th fret .

  • The guitar that is being played I have .it's an ovation 2001 Celebrity limited addition collectors series .

  • great song.

  • That guitar is NOT a CS 257. I own one, so I think I know. That is a collectors series guitar ...
