Ah... camera mics never do justice. It does sound pretty badass regardless.

at numerous times in the piece i keep half expecting it to turn into one of many different pieces, (e.g. star wars theme, universal studios theme, 20th century fox fanfare, and probably many other pieces i cant think of offhand.)

Why does one of the horn players put the low bit up the octave near-ish the beginning, around 0:53 - 1:02 ??

Heard this fanfare live at the musikverein Vienna during the official opening of the Philharmonic ball! Fantastic fanfare, very proud piece of music!
