If it's your first bass you're looking to buy, I would recommend to have a look to used instruments on e-bay or local papers and such; you can find great deals!

Musiciansfriend(dot)com has a used instruments section as well, I believe.

i've been playing guitar for a long time, and bass is a lot harder to make it sound good

i mean, i can play fairly well, but only with a pick because of my guitar days, so i have this crazy pinky curling problem and my bass is a viola with flatwounds so slapping is a no no.

i would make more videos if it wasn't for all the pick haters
