Sad to see all that Kodak past turning into dust. Some of those buildings are over 100 years old. None of them are protected historic landmarks? No attempt to reuse them as office or loft spaces? So sad. I hope Kodak can survive the digital era.
Actually, that was the last implosion. Kodak may decide to implode more buildings in the future, you never know. It seems wasteful to destroy five buildings that could have suited new tenants. They could have imploded one building and created plenty of greenspace. Buildings 65 and 69 would have made a nice indoor Mini Mall like Village Gate.
I suppose one Village Gate is enough. I do agree that Irondequoit Mall/Medley Centre should be imploded. It's more dead now than it was back in 2005 when Adam Bersin bought it. I do not think that Scott Congel has any plans to revitalize the building. I wanted to see it become a successful mall but that is just not in the cards. The building is only 17 years old, imploding it would be a sin but I will understand if it needs to be done.
Sad to see it go, I always remember passing by those buildings as a child.

That corner looks SO odd now. B65, B69 and B23 gone leaves a lot of open space.

I use to work for building 605,214,205,135. Man Kodak is going down quick. That is so sad.

It's definitely not the Kodak of the 80's anymore. Almost every building I ever worked in has been torn down or sold.

One Village Gate is enough. Maybe Irondequoit Mall should be next on the implosion list.
