  • Finally, it all makes sense. Word.

  • I've been working on a theater simulation fifteen hours a day all weekend.

This just became my anthem O_O

No scratch that, V2.0 is much better... damn that's incredibly appropriate

  • EVERY TIME I HEAR THIS I get lost in the beat and the outflow of words. Lovin it! Was feelin the live one at Hammersmith too! BIG UP!

  • For a Creation based hip hop point of view check out Destiny Lab.

  • @M1kab0sh1 I predicted your response last year in the lyrics to my song "You Can't See Me" (look it up). Thank you for fulfilling the prophecy!

  • Mr Brinkman... I'm kinda curious... given that this is a recorded song, does that mean you are now lying to us when you say that you are mixing things up, free styling and taking it off of the page?

  • all these comments are too long ... the need to performance feedback revision

  • @TheColourSociety2 and heck, maybe it just isn't for you and thats fine too

  • @TheColourSociety2 Those are really great responses that show an enviable amount of self awareness and humility. I am glad you could see that I wasn't attempting to argue. HipHop is a very wide genre (30+ years of music) & i don't know your tastes so it would be tough to say what you would enjoy. There aren't many people making "science songs" as it were.Groups like DeLaSoul, A Tribe Called Quest and The Roots are pretty solid sets that aren't in the gangsta subgenre, there is also "nerdcore" rap

  • @TheColourSociety2 ... I normally just let these sort of comments go, but do you seriously hold that view on hip hop in 2011? What makes other modern genres more adult with a greater "intellectual scope"? It is one thing to not enjoy the sound, but you then go on to claim some sort of intimate knowledge on what the ideal of hip hop is (a valid conversation, for sure, but one that will never end I am afraid). This song is good though and I am glad we have it to comment on at all.

  • @TeashiaRain This got marked as spam fast and I am not sure why. Do you think that some one who does not enjoy a genre should be the one who dictates the terms of that genre? Hip hop is NOT spoken word over a beat and if you think that you are wrong and/or a high school english teacher from 1994. This is all a moot point though, as I clearly said that it was a valid conversation and you are attempting to use insult to drive a point that doesn't exist.

  • @menndoj Not sure if you understood what I wrote, which was very small. Dude said "this comes closer to what I think the ideal of rap is supposed to be", then you said, "It is one thing to not enjoy the sound, but you then go on to claim some sort of intimate knowledge on what the ideal of hip hop is" along with some other things. I just pointed out that you appeared to be a little touchy about someone else's opinion which appeared to me unnecessary. In which way did I lead you to believe......

  • @TeashiaRain I don't know why you are revisiting this honestly. I had a conversation with TheColourSociety about it and it went well. You are just throwing stones from the side lines. I am sorry you don't see why people can get emotional about the arts or how reading some one act like an educational song is somehow superior to the rest of the genre could be a bit offensive. If you feel I overreacted, that is your opinion. I already got what I wanted out of the conversation a month ago.

  • @menndoj I don't check this crap all the time, this is the first I saw this. Do you really expect everyone to be so involved that they check it often. It took me a month so it is alive and well for me. Regardless, the fact that it was a month ago doesn't change what was said. It is obvious you do all this for some sort of self satisfaction to make yourself feel intelligent, or whatever you are looking for.. SAD! At least you got what you wanted out of your one sided conversation..

  • @TeashiaRain I was talking to someone about something I love. If that is sad than so be it. I get notifications to my email when someone messages me on here so to me a month is a pretty long time to revisit a conversation. I really don't know where you get such negative opinions about me, but I don't think I will be changing your mind on that topic. You never even took my quotes in context and have only been trying to insult me so I really don't know why you are bothering at all.

  • Brilliant, I love your work

  • Awesome! He's still talking about gettin' bitches n' ho's but in such a deeper way lol
