This very design of Zippo Lighter .22 weapon was first constructed in 1944 by the OSS and is a very much standard issue to the CIA and friendlies.

One can buy a standard Zippo lighter, the steel block and all the parts and produce one with ease, just put the parts together, no drilling or anything.

But it is not a legal firearm as defined by the NFA 1934 ruling.

Look up "Poor man's James Bond" for a diagram of this very weapon.

In all reality how the divide is made the .22 round would not heat up the whole zippo.so you can still hold it in your hand after you shoot.and I know this for a fact because I built one. But they suck you need to be really close if you want to hit any thing.and mine is a .22 short witch means I have more barrel for accuracy and it still sucks

I know that this is possible because the size of a .22 round is very small, and the tough metal of the zippo would be able to take the blast. He doesn't have a zippo lighter gun. What does he actually show you? A lighter and a bullet (separate). You don't see him load it and for firing you don't see him do anything but hold it up. Then, you HEAR a shot (from a different gun). Don't get me wrong there are plenty of guns like this...pen guns, cell phone guns, ring guns, etc. They can be made out of just about anything but this kid doesn't have one.

That's awesome. I thought about how cool it would be to have a single shot weapon concealed in a Zippo a long time ago. But I could never figure out how you you would be able to hold a gun that small without burning your hand when you fired it. Seems like you don't have that problem though. Good job :)
