Tim is too good for that pedal....he broke it lmao. I don't know how you played that pedal like that. Reminds me of my old Rodgers pedal. I actually found myself naturally doing your heel toe technique when I played my last live show. My feet just got tired from trying to "stomp" out my double bass patterns and I found my feet just naturally doing it. It takes much less effort and seems to let you play more comfortably at higher speeds.

Dear Tim, THANK you. An excellent demonstration of the musician's joke of, "It ain't the tool, it's the FOOL"! That means, as you've just demonstrated, a great musician, does NOT require the BEST equipment, to be able to APPLY his technique to make beautiful music. I, myself have BLAMED my old Camco pedals, for not having mastered your bass drum tech. OOPS ! I'm a FOOL. And I've been re-inspired to continue THAT quest. THANKS to you, Tim! I also still have a crappy cheap double base at home for practice purposes. That way when I'm playing on the kit again, I have more power and accuracy ha.

No way tim, my 9 year old set of Dixon double pedels that need screws tightened every few minutes are a far worse set of pedals :P

Speaking of things from the past: I was dropping off some rubbish down at the city dump a few months back and someone had thrown a whole drum kit into the tip! The kit was crap but there was a Paiste Dixie cymbal time stamped from 73 there. It now resides on my wall :)
