i was so close to finishing this game on the hardest setting... made it to that volcano bit right at the very end then the fucking game crashed and deleted everything !
I hate that the so called "Hardest game ev0r" is too easy for me on its highest Difficulty. I could finish the game without even get hit once with a little bit of practice. That should be the hardest difficulty! 1hit K.O
I absolutely love this game. It's a major step upwards from the original NES game. Though I do miss a lot of the old tracks, I really love the impressive 3D graphics along with all the gory special effects and everything. And the fact that you can cut off the heads of your enemies is a plus.
It never ceases to amaze me that Xbox fans are the most antagonizing big headed condescending idiots that like to lash out on others for being different. I don't know why ps3 sucks, it has so much gaming diversity and awesome blue ray playback and great graphics, whilst all I hear about Xbox is halo and gears of war, as if they cant come up with anything more innovative than to insult the ps3 just because they share certain games with the xbox. Seriously guys, get a grip.

Hey man I got back into sigma, but Im sucking really badly. I used to be really good, especially in Master Ninja Mode. Now I'm playing on hard mode, and I'm getting my ass handed to me really bad. I'm getting sick of it. Right now I playing through every difficulty and see if I can get good again by doing that. I'm not sure if thats the answer to becoming good again. How can I get good again? Any tips? I came to you since your a master at this game.
@BarrettKarz that is not true, its not EXACTLY the same. its much easier and the items are placed different with MUCH more potions. PLUS some chapters are different (for example the first time u encounter doku, in the original its just a video, in sigma u actually fight him)
@Hassistenschwein While the game is easier on some spots, that sure isn't the case anymore on MN difficulty. They've tweaked certain bossess and berserkers are far more lethal on sigma then NGB.
You can just counter-attack Berserkers to death in Sigma. You couldn't do that in Black. Equip the Lunar and go nuts. Even though I usually just used the Dragon Sword on the first chapter in Black anyway, Sigma's chapter 1 still feels harder than Black's. The rest of the game, though, Black is harder. IMO

I got halfway through master ninja mode on the original xbox and then my dvd drive died.. I started playing it on my other xbox and discovered I had to beat it 3 times before I could attempt master ninja mode again. YEAH RIGHT

It's weird; Ryu's Dragon Sword is supposedly the strongest sword in existence,but all the other swords Ryu can find are stronger, and all of the enemies' swords are stronger,too.
hey dude how come u dont get effected by the exploding shuriken when u do a wall jump? And also when you jump, why didnt you absorb the essence, i mean u have to release the block button to jump right?

IIRC, if you just press triangle when their HP is low enough, it'll chop off their head. A flying swallow will do this sometimes. I believe this doesn't work if your version is censored (UK version only I believe).
With Ninja Gaiden and NGS, are the locations of the weapons the same? Cuz I got to around the club scene (you can't get by the bouncer unless you find something) on the xbox, and I don't think I ever got another weapon, or at least used it. Did I miss something?

Is the European version censored? how come? there's almost no blood in this game (compared to Ninja Gaiden 2).
Actually, I bought the US version of the game, and there are no French subtitles, only English and Japanese. English is not a problem for me, but it was a plus if the US version was multilingual (Ninja Gaiden Sigma will be, I've tested the Japanese Demo, and it was in French :D).
And yes, European version of this game is censored (soldiers and ninjas can't be beheaded). SO I wanted a full uncensored version, and now I have it. Now I'm waiting for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for playing with Momiji :)
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is going to be amazing, and better than the 360 version...unless you care about extreme gore and buckets of blood (more unrealistic).
I care more for new extras for the game (this game is one of the reasons why I bought a PS3 Slim ^^). If I want the bloody version, I still have the 360 version. I'm a huge fan of the series, and I hope that many other surprises will come in a nearby future (HD remake fo Ninja Gaiden Famicom for instance)
more real than blur light coming from severed limbs. oh yeah so much more realistic man....its weak. there is blood on the ground tho somehow. they made it for casual gamers and ruined it.
I was talking about the blood though...not the purple mist, the blood looks excellent to me and with the fast action (and trying to block so I don't get my ass kicked) I don't concentrate on that at all, also I don't think any "casual" gamer would play this game more than 5 minutes.
And aren't many of those enemy ninjas demons? that's why I think the mist looks great, because there is also blood in it, if it was only mist then that would be something different maybe.
Nice gameplay! Love this level, which more levels was like it. One of the great things about it is that you fight enemy ninjas, and it's a good mix of platforming and fight.
You press triangle right when Ryu touches the ground to perform and On-landing move. Doing this allows Ryu to be in the charging stance faster than just doing a straight holding triangle. You need to have essences around you of course.
I got a PS3 2 days ago and i'm about to fucking break it if I can't get passed Chapter 1 on Master Ninja Mode. What's making it hard is those fucking Black Spider Clan ninjas with flame attacks. U have such a weak weapon at the beginning it makes the first chapter impossible unless you have patients. I don't get y they took out the Nunchuks and lunar at the beginning. They should of stay, cause it actually make the beginning a lot....easier don't you think? Chapter 1 is gonna take forever -__-.
The Lunar would make Chapter 1 a lot easier with its UT since you can easily kill two and continue your UT chain. Just take a break from the game if you're having trouble.

Practicing and watching videos. I think I started this run 2 months I got the game. Karma Running really helped my game a lot (the first few Chapters didn't show it but you see it in the later Chapters). Since KRing requires you to know the enemies by learning how they fight so you can maximize the amount of points you get in an encounter. Overall, just keep fighting the same enemy until you can perfectly read their patterns.
LOL i already beat Master Ninja Mode so i'm good. I'm to lazy to do mission mode so i'm not going to do it. In Ninja Gaiden Black, Master Ninja Mode took me weeks.
I'm on Master Ninja mode on Sigma, and i hate the first chapter the most. The other chapters r mad easy but this first chapter is a fucking kick to the balls.

Dude i really hate master ninja mode. In ninja gaiden black, i hate those red ninjas that when they attack u burn. It's so strong. I'm still on chapter 1. I'm stuck on Murai because he has the flaming ninjas with him.
I love the Ninja Gaiden series but I think one of my favorite Ninja games to this day is Shinobi for ps2 I really wish they'd remake it for ps3 with this type of game engine or something. Nice gameplay! Love this level, which more levels was like it. One of the great things about it is that you fight enemy ninjas, and it's a good mix of platforming and fight.

You press triangle right when Ryu touches the ground to perform and On-landing move. Doing this allows Ryu to be in the charging stance faster than just doing a straight holding triangle. You need to have essences around you of course.

I got a PS3 2 days ago and i'm about to fucking break it if I can't get passed Chapter 1 on Master Ninja Mode. What's making it hard is those fucking Black Spider Clan ninjas with flame attacks. U have such a weak weapon at the beginning it makes the first chapter impossible unless you have patients. I don't get y they took out the Nunchuks and lunar at the beginning. They should of stay, cause it actually make the beginning a lot....easier don't you think? Chapter 1 is gonna take forever -__-.

The Lunar would make Chapter 1 a lot easier with its UT since you can easily kill two and continue your UT chain. Just take a break from the game if you're having trouble.

Practicing and watching videos. I think I started this run 2 months I got the game. Karma Running really helped my game a lot (the first few Chapters didn't show it but you see it in the later Chapters). Since KRing requires you to know the enemies by learning how they fight so you can maximize the amount of points you get in an encounter. Overall, just keep fighting the same enemy until you can perfectly read their patterns.

LOL i already beat Master Ninja Mode so i'm good. I'm to lazy to do mission mode so i'm not going to do it. In Ninja Gaiden Black, Master Ninja Mode took me weeks.

Dude i really hate master ninja mode. In ninja gaiden black, i hate those red ninjas that when they attack u burn. It's so strong. I'm still on chapter 1. I'm stuck on Murai because he has the flaming ninjas with him.

You only start out with the Dragon Sword in NGS whereas you start out also with the Chucks + the Lunar in NGB on MN.

I love the Ninja Gaiden series but I think one of my favorite Ninja games to this day is Shinobi for ps2 I really wish they'd remake it for ps3 with this type of game engine or something. It'd be cool if they did remake it and they gave it a weapon upgrade system like on here...well one can dream right?

I am playing this game now for the first time, And my blue costume doesn't look anything like your blue costume in the option screen, mine is all blue with a black mesh shirt under it... do you have to unlock that costume?

Everytime you die, you start at the last place you saved your game at (via Statue).
For your second question about the "NOW SAVING", it records your gameplay time and how many times you died. I think there's more though.

Im in normal mode but everytime I die I can see a message "NOW SAVING" at the upper right corner of the screen but Im sure Im not saving anything because I dont like Autosave feature
