@hurmos To be fair, that's because WWE actually wanted him to do something and not be in 3 minute squashes for his whole career. Thus we found out, Goldberg is actually pretty shit.
"Possibly" that it was a botch? I think you're the retard here, you should of done some research and re-watched it before posting it and making a fool of yourself. Ignorant kid...
@Sneezlebob he was gonna do his finisher, and he made up a move in the middle. I'm sorry your feeble mind missed that with all the walks to the mall you take during the day, just keep that helmet on, you'll be ok
@Sneezlebob: Ha, you're stupid, especially if you think someone who knows they're right is going to sit around thinking about some dumbass on Youtube all day.
Wow, that was impressive. The title makes it sounds like he botched something. If that was a botch, then it was the biggest botch of all time seeing as to how he threw him half way across the ring.
@1EPowerUp In early 1998, Goldberg wasn't in the main event. It made sense for him to be wrestling midcarders. His undefeated streak included wins against a lot of jobbers from WCW Saturday Night's roster. Goldberg won the U.S. title at Spring Stampede 1998 and the world title in July 1998 on Nitro.
i can't believe i'm saying this, but this was no botch, just an amazing move... by goldberg. hmm... never heard goldberg and amazing move in the same sentence before. goldberg did actually throw in some great moves in wcw here and there. for every 30 spear/jackhammers he did, he'd throw in a tiger suplex, or a nice transition cutter... save the hate for warrior guys. goldberg was actually pretty good. think about it, who else came from football and was a good wrestler? remember mongo!? haha
eh... he was the champion in wcw, but only because dusty rhodes wanted to book a black champ for once. by the time he was farooq, his limited charisma, mic skills, and wrestling ability limited his success to teaming with bradshaw... ron was a great football player tho, he was like tenth in line for the heisman trophy i read somewhere.
@Th3Vip3rRK0 it wasnt a botch at all. Kanyon and Brad Armstrong always used to take wicked bumps that your usual wrestler wouldnt take. Taz used to do a Pumphandle Suplex in ECW. he never botched it.
that wasn't suppose to be a pump handle like you were thinking, i also agree with the comment on the wcw's ring, thought i was the only one who thought that. lol
i was at that show at the cow palace. cool show, but that match sucked. got to see brad armstrong, but no flair or bret who had been feuding leading up to this show.
Not hurting a wrestler in the ring is very hard to do. Especially during your whole career. You are entitled to your opinion but I really disagree with you. Both Bret and Owen were ahead of their time. It is sad that Owen did not get the push he really deserved.
Hogan and Austin are just personalities. Bret has the total package. He could actually wrestle and has great mic skills. Hogan is not an impressive wrestler along with Austin. What brought them both out was their personalities.
I totally disagree with you about Bret being overrated. First off even if Bret would have not gotten screwed over by Vince AND Triple H(It was his wonderful idea to screw Bret) he would still have the following he has now. Bret is and was AHEAD of his time. Bret Hart is my favorite wrestler of ALL TIME. Him, Flair, Beniot, Undertaker and Angle are possibly my top five. If you personally dont like Bret than thats you. Bret is just so amazing and he NEVER hurt a wrestler in the ring.
It wasn't botched.....That's how a Pump Handle Suplex is performed but I guess all the people watching at home who have never stepped into a wrestling ring would see their place to say it's a botched move.
It looked like Goldberg meant to do that, so it wasn't a botch, but he obviously wasn't too concerned about Armstrong's well being. That's called being reckless.
Bull fucking shit, the kick may have helped, but a kick won't cause a stroke, it just helped him along. If Bret really wanted, he could keep giving back, but he doesn't, he'd rather just whine.
It was the fact that that overpaid undertrained fucktard dropped him on his several times already then his random attempt to show he was a kung fu master ended a good wrestlers career
The kick caused a concusion and then he had a stroke. Bret is the greatest technicican to have entered a ring. Your probably a Hogan fan, aren't you? Go say your prayers and take your steroids you ass clown.
No actually, I'm a Bryan Danielson and Chris Hero fan. Bret is overrated, Perfect, Owen, Benoit, Guerrero, Danielson, and Malenko were better technicians, they just all didn't get the same opportunity. HBK is more well rounded than Hart is.
The Montreal Screwjob is the only thing keeping Hart relevant, that's why it's just constant "fuck Vince" BS, the last time Bret was on a WWE show was that Raw where he basically talked shit on Vince, that's the only way to get him to show his face.Sad
ur trippin bro, bret overrated?, TRIPPIN, ask one of the wrestlers you listed, if some were still alive, they will tell you brett was one of the best, dont get me wrong, the ones you listed were all good, i dont know about eddie guerrero, but i think hyped a lil cause of his untimely death, but dont ever say bret was overrated, you gotta be kidding me, u can watch the mania 12 match him and hbk, hbk didnt carry bre in that match, they both were jus plain great.
Bret was great, but he's not a top 5 (or even 10) draw or in ring wrestler. Bret is overrated for much the same reason you think Eddie is overrated, because of something tragic. If Bret hadn't gotten screwed (since when refusing to job is getting screwed is beyond me) he wouldn't have the following he has now.
Misawa, Benoit, Guerrero, HBK, Angle, Harley Race, Ric Flair, Kobashi, Kawada, Baba, all those guys are better in the ring than Hart because hart really wasn't that versitile.
i dont know how you can say bret wasnt a draw, he was one of the main reasons wwf became world wide, people loved bret before the screw job, to be honest i actually hated him once he went to wcw, i have no disagreement with any of the guys you named they are all great, except ric flair, i think he was whatever, bret was good for his time, he is an excellent wrestler, i dont kno why there is so much hate for him
he was an excellent wrestler, there isn't much hate, the hate he does have (I don't hate him) is because he whined for YEARS after the screwjob.
Bret WASN'T a huge draw. He was riding the success of Hogan, Hogan drew in all those fans and Bret took over after that, it's not hard to draw big with the WWF logo after Hogan. If you look at the numbers, WWF probably lost more fans from 1992-1995 than in any other period. Hart/HBK are sandwiched between Hogan and Austin, and they both pale.
and where does Diesel fit in? remember he was WWF champion for a full year, it was the first title reign of that length since Macho Man's 1988-89 reign, you just can't bypass Diesel's reign and Yokozuna's reign was also longer and more dominant than Ultimate Warrior's
Well I can't say Kevin Nash (the person/wrestler) isn't a draw because he was a HUGE part of the nWo getting over. However, with the Diesel gimmick he was over in his time but he didn't draw, in 1995 WWF had one of it's worst years and I think it was in large part due to their uninteresting main event scene, which you look at the champion (Diesel) for a big part. Then again, Nash has said he was miserable during that time too.
That was awful, lawls!
