I noticed something that many people probably already noticed (well geeky people anyway), I loved Anna Paquin portrail of Rogue in the X-Men movies but I always thought there was something missing and then it hit me while watching True Blood, movies Rogue doesn't have the southern accent of the comics Rogue, which A.P. has in True Blood. Now these two portrails keep twisting in my head while watching both the series and the movies, it's very confusing.

I'm trying to catch up, I've watched all of the first two seasons but now the three sites I go to (that all usually have at least some useful links) are all too slow or the video has been taken down (damn online piracy stuff, they aren't taking stuff down but they are scarring a bunch of sites into) so I can't watch any more episodes. Please help, any assistance would be appreciated.

Watch Vampire Diaries. First few (like 5) episodes are a little slow but after that it starts speeding up more and more & showing more of it's lore. But fact is it's well written, the vampires are not pussies, Damon is awesome, it gets more and more fast paced & it's consistently interesting (unlike True Blood which has a lot of boring stuff in every episode next to somewhat more interesting stuff) with interesting characters. Yes it does have some romantic plots & such but mostly it's awesome.

True Blood is a LOT like Twilight if you think about it. It main difference is that HBO made it, so it has boobs, swearing, and is actually pretty good. I dislike southern accents though, seriously they just bother me, I don't know what it is but whenever I hear a southern accent I just think the person is stupid. And there's also Sookie acting like a stupid bitch all the time. But all that aside it is still a good show. I also wish they hadn't killed Sookie's grandma, she WAS my favorite.

I wanted to like it, but the characters are just... too stupid. sookie does so many annoying things. I very much enjoyed the lore stuff and the menade-storyarch, but the characters, especially the main characters were too annoying to keep up with the series. I liked Godric a lot - the concept of this character, but when finally seeing how the very old vampires are written - i cannot believe that many of them are so painfully stupid.

you should review vampire diaries.. its not as gay as twilight (granted there are a lot of cheesey love subplots in there) but the storyline is cool, the vampires aren't fuzzy, more traditional to vampire folklore.. and damon (the best character on the show) is a dick... sarcastic ass, and pretty violent... its on netflix too so you can watch the first two seasons instantly... for a basic cable show there is a good amount of sex and violence

I should've stopped watching this show after season 2. the whole premise has changed and it hasn't even evolved into something better. Now, EVERYONE has something special about them. no opposing forces such as law enforcement exist and it went from vampires and humans co-existing, to a show about every friggin' mythical character there was! and the romance? you might as well watch "twilight" another atrocity. I'm not even going to bother with season 4... hate it when that happens!
