i think that toby told christie to have a babty boy, and that that toby was the husband of the grandmother (christie described him as old). also because the people wearing the demon signs around their necks in the picture were in the grandmothers closet, so thats how katie and christie were targeted because their mother didnt want a boy. *the part when the grandmother asked the mom why she didnt have a son instead of the two girls.

The part where Toby swung the girl by her hair terrified me!! I was upset that like all of the previews weren't in the movie though. But I liked it!

It had false advitisement!! It the previews it showed this guy come in and see why all this is happining, and in the moive the went straight to the grandmas house... It really dispointing.... It wasn't scary.. I dont understand why people where walking out, blah, blah, blah.. It made me soo mad! The previews mad me more scared than the movie.. It was false advertisement!

I think toby pulled the girls hair cause the mom was saying if anything else freaky happens she will make the dad put up the cameras so toby scared the girl so the mom would make the dad put up the cameras.

One part that freaked me out was pretty subtle, and maybe unwarranted. But, when the girl had the veil on, she said something about marrying Toby. I don't know why, but that scared me. And I can't really come up with any sort of conclusion ...

@SSMayday1 the whole coventry thing was about girls being taken advantage of as soon as they were able to support a child. I think toby tried to manipulate her so that the little girl would be apart of the coventry so he kept talking about how he was her friend and he loved her so that she would be accustomed to the idea of the coventry (basically toby was a pedophile)

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I love these movies, and it's like ok not that scary it was cool .. and then when I'm trying to sleep I also just keep picturing stuff from the movie and keep thinking about the storyline! Couldn't get it out of my head for days! :P

This is kinda stupid, but when the wife popped out of the closet with the mask, I thought it was one of the scariest parts of the movie. The funny thing is, you can watch essentially the same clip on AFV over and over and find it really funny and not at all freaky.

I think the reason that he was so short under the sheet was because they wanted you to think it could be one of the sisters playing a joke...and then when it just drops to the ground, you realize it was actually Toby. I don't know, I liked that part but I agree, it was kind of a plot-hole.

@kylesmithvideos Yeah that's the only explanation I have for it, I just think it was a cool idea poorly executed. I think they did try and make it seem like one of the girls but it didn't explain the fact that Toby would have to shrink himself since the girl said he was tall. HMM.

The first 2 scared the CRAP outta me, but this one really didn't. You saw it coming, it was more loud than scary, But whenever something happens now I say "it was Toby". I didn't like how they cut 3 great things out of it and are saving it for when it comes out. Like when she throws the water and it hits him and falls straight down. The only thing that startled me was when Toby grabbed the girl by her hair...it was just wierd.

The part where the mom walks into the kitchen and all of the kitchen appliances/furniture fall from the ceiling... YEAH, that part made me flip my shit.

This one definately had more 'jump' moments imo, because it didn't start off slow or anything..like I guess 5 or 10 minutes into the movie things were already happening with Toby, while PA1 & 2 sort of introduced the other characters and the set up with their cameras and recording.

If anyone still doesn't understand the story line of the paranormal activity movies wikipedia it and you will see how the story line is and basically PA3 is supposed to be 1 PA2 is supposed to be 2nd and PA1 is supposed to be the 3rd pretty cool how they mixed it around :)

HA! My mom said the same thing about the sheet...she was like "That's it?! Well, that isn't scary!" I kind of feel like instead of dragging the grandma in it, they should have had the demon be little in the beginning and not as evil, just mean (basically how it was in the movie lol) but then when the girls were older, the demon was older and stronger. I get what you're saying about how he wasn't really that scary. Maybe they could only do so much since kids were involved.

omg i am with those people who said they almost walked out. if my boyfriend wasnt there for me to hold on to, i would have walked out. my biggest fear with horror movies is when things jump out or loud noises. i dont mind gore in movies at all. this whole movie was based around my fear. i hated that god damn fan!!!! gave me such anxiety. good movie overall, though i didnt see half of it because my eyes were closed. XD

@ItsJillStrif the way i see it is he was trying to take the form of a little kid such as the 2 girls almost as if it was to disguise himself. why necessarily he would do that i'm unsure of. and the thing that made me a bit mad was that a lot of the things shown in commercials were not even in the movie or done a different way and i was really looking forward to see those parts too.

i was so dissappointed with this movie. i think partially because of the hype that surrounded it and the fact that 1 and 2 were so much better. toby pulling the older sister's hair really made a joke out of his character, haha. i did think that the acting was good and i loved the friend of the dad during the babysitting scene. the movie wasn't terrible but i felt like it didn't meet the potential that it had.

The night I came home from the movie, I couldn't sleep either! I hate movies that just have someone watching you, and you don't see it... but, if you look behind you, they are gone! I hate stuff like that, that's all I thought about when I slept that night!

Plus, I think the only reason the ghost was so short, was because I think the little girl said that Toby was like an elderly guy. So, that would make sense why he was so short.

But, yeah, all that stuff is still in my mind.
