Umm i dont know if some of you idiots know this but global warming does not cause temperatures to increase everywere and at all times global warming causes in some cases colder winters and hotter summers or it could just make the temperatures unnormal from season to season. Just because there is not a dramatic global increase in temp it does not mean there is no global warming.(also global temperatures have increased slightly over the past 30 or so years)

we probably don't have that much oil in the US there isn't even that much left in the world. We're expected to run out in about 40 years. If we wait for it to run out, the possibilty of irreversable damage to the enviornment won't be the only problem. Oil is going to keep getting more and more expensive and then it will be gone. We won't have it even for things where there is no alternative to oil. If we switch to other energy sources now, we'll avoid the high prices and be able to conserve oil
and as far as the "tax" goes, it is suposed to encourage people to switch energy sources, if it works, once renewable energy sources become more popular they will get cheaper, even cheaper than oil is now. Eventually we would all end up saving money.
Expect more "ghost" panics. If H1N1 is sold as a huge threat to the life of millions, then (if we had fallen for it) when everyone was immunized and it passed us by, we would owe our very lives to the grace of Big Brother.

Right, the problem is this unproven theory that layers of CO2 in the athmosphere cause reflection states the temp increase caused by a few 100ppm of CO2 is only a few tenths of 1 degree F, lets remember in the lab a few 100ppm increase in CO2 has no effect in the lab.

However the problem with these models is the ignore many negative loopbacks that drive temp down, for example they cant predict hurricanes year to year that remove massive amounts of heat from the athmoshpere so the ignore this data as they admit in their excective summeries.

Umm i dont know if some of you idiots know this but global warming does not cause temperatures to increase everywere and at all times global warming causes in some cases colder winters and hotter summers or it could just make the temperatures unnormal from season to season. Just because there is not a dramatic global increase in temp it does not mean there is no global warming.(also global temperatures have increased slightly over the past 30 or so years)

But hey I'm all about not being dependent on foreign oil sources. As a former oil employee I know that we have the reserves right here at home. We just don't have the political will - and that's what concerns me about "climate change" advocacy. That's about control and a global tax imo.
I think we need to be right, not sorry regarding global warming.

we probably don't have that much oil in the US there isn't even that much left in the world. We're expected to run out in about 40 years. If we wait for it to run out, the possibilty of irreversable damage to the enviornment won't be the only problem. Oil is going to keep getting more and more expensive and then it will be gone. We won't have it even for things where there is no alternative to oil. If we switch to other energy sources now, we'll avoid the high prices and be able to conserve oil

and as far as the "tax" goes, it is suposed to encourage people to switch energy sources, if it works, once renewable energy sources become more popular they will get cheaper, even cheaper than oil is now. Eventually we would all end up saving money.

Expect more "ghost" panics. If H1N1 is sold as a huge threat to the life of millions, then (if we had fallen for it) when everyone was immunized and it passed us by, we would owe our very lives to the grace of Big Brother.
If AGW is swallowed as killing the Earth, and bold action SEEMS to have solved the crisis, the the whole PLANET is in debt to World Big Brother.
Threats never have to be real. False threats are much easier to resolve.

I believe that Al really believes what he writes about, but I also think that he does have some differences between his public and private life. That aside, discrediting Al doesn't make the case against global warming. At worst, he is being disingenuous with his own carbon footprint. That aside, how can you refute all the work and evidence out there. Climate gate is not being looked at with objective eyes and Glen Beck is someone that uses every trick in the book to create an ignorant audience.

Global warming doesn't imply that it's never going to be cold again. Rather, it's a statement about long-term trends getting warmer. Glen Beck is a chronic liar and I recommend citing more responsible sources of information.

Stop listening to your conservative American media and the oil tycoons in congress. Even if by some miracle climate change is not real then we will still run out of oil. Right, the problem is this unproven theory that layers of CO2 in the athmosphere cause reflection states the temp increase caused by a few 100ppm of CO2 is only a few tenths of 1 degree F, lets remember in the lab a few 100ppm increase in CO2 has no effect in the lab.
I except this unproven theory that man is raising temps maybe a few degrees F and if that is all it is then fine
The problem I have is these models then are used to say this small increase in temps has an amplfying effect

Like the example they use in the IPCC 4th report. A small temp increase melts more snow exposing more dark land making it even warmer causing even more expose dark land making it even warmer and so on.
However the problem with these models is the ignore many negative loopbacks that drive temp down, for example they cant predict hurricanes year to year that remove massive amounts of heat from the athmoshpere so the ignore this data as they admit in their excective summeries.

You want to beleive in incomplete virtual positive loopback biased models that missed the last 10 years fine knock you self out.
But understand that is the only thing you have, a belief models that say a few 100 ppm inrease in CO2 has an amplfying effect on temp.
Me I dont believe in the incomplete positive loopback models, and untill I see some real proof a few 100 ppm increase in CO2 has any real effect on temp I am not drinking the koolaid
