smoking is just considered the #1 cause of cancer but it isnt. People who have never smoked a day in their lives will get it and people who do smoke wont get cancer. no one knows the true cause of cancer.

@danicathy out of all people who have been diagnosed with cancer, the one thing that most of them had in common was that they smoked cigarettes. and since smoking has been proven to cause lung cancer, the reasonable conclusion is that smoking cigarettes is what caused the cancer, in the majority of cases. thus it is the #1 cause, out of all possible causes that have been proven as such.
