@JonThm Apparently not, the atmospheric CO2 ppm would not keep rising if that was true, as the permafrost is thawing on the northern hemisphere yes there are improving conditions for new flora to grow and suck up more CO2 but massive amounts of methane is released in the process as well which is a much more potent greenhouse gas than CO2 (25 times better at trapping heat than CO2).

In video log form, right on this very channel. But the problem is, I was a university kid, raised by a college professor, and I know a lot of scientist. I took your advice and did a search through Web of Science for papers with "global cooling" in the title. Seems there's only 5 pages of results, none of which suggest the globe is currently undergoing cooling. There was one I thought you might be interested in:

And yet the Cape Grim monitoring station in Tasmania is the first point on land that the westerly wind hits for thousands of kilometers and registers the same upward trend. The nearest decent size town (20k population) is about 100km away. It has some of the cleanest air on the planet, and the CO2 trend matches everywhere else.

Lack of hard evidence? There's decades of science and thousands of published papers. There is a very strong scientific consensus. There are several papers with estimates of volcanic emissions - Im fairly sure even the USGS has one. You could also look at Kerrick (2001) or Moerner and Etiope (2002). CO2 resulting from fossil fuel burning is available from the EIA. Then do the math.
Or compare Pinatubo (Gerlach et al 1996) to human emissions that year (CDIAC).

@JonThm Apparently not, the atmospheric CO2 ppm would not keep rising if that was true, as the permafrost is thawing on the northern hemisphere yes there are improving conditions for new flora to grow and suck up more CO2 but massive amounts of methane is released in the process as well which is a much more potent greenhouse gas than CO2 (25 times better at trapping heat than CO2).

current CO2 levels are at 388 ppm and rising. it wont be long before antarctica begins to thaw as fast as greenland currently is, which btw is rising out of the sea at a rate of 1 inch per year. when antarctica thaws enough it too will rise out of the sea. it is connected to every tectonic plate around the world and will crack the earths crust. this isnt doomsday bull, this is science, and quite likely the worse threat facing mankind.

Contrary to what deniers will say, Antarctic LAND ice is already falling in mass. Antarctic SEA ice is growing slightly, even though the measured sea temperature is rising. The rise in sea ice is believed to be linked to the ozone depletion around the southern polar area.

I took your advice and did a search through Web of Science for papers with "global cooling" in the title. Seems there's only 5 pages of results, none of which suggest the globe is currently undergoing cooling. There was one I thought you might be interested in:

And yet the Cape Grim monitoring station in Tasmania is the first point on land that the westerly wind hits for thousands of kilometers and registers the same upward trend. The nearest decent size town (20k population) is about 100km away. It has some of the cleanest air on the planet, and the CO2 trend matches everywhere else.

The word "homosexual" is more appropriate and accurate than the word "gay".
A person does not need religion, hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important, qualitative differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption.
Homosexual activists, with (complete) support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims and martyrs; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.

I wouldn't mind a change to sustainable energy, it makes plenty of sense for the long term.
But this whole global warming trend sucks. Even if there is some grain of truth to it, it would be nice if anyone could actually present scientific evidence instead of hockeysticks, computer models, or statistics. All of these can be interpreted to match your own agenda, so what's the point?
Let's face it, we don't know enough about the climate to draw any reasonably solid conclusions.

Dont mistake how much you personally know about the climate system with how much people who study it daily know about it. I personally don't know how many pharmaceuticals work exactly, but I wouldnt conclude that medical scientists therefore cant draw solid conclusions regarding their field of expertise.

@ferrett78 I'm basing this on the rather sketchy evidence they are using to try and convince us. Sure, they know that CO2 is a greenhouse gas. But that's where the knowledge stops, and we enter the murky field of guesswork.
Do we throw enough in the air to affect the climate so drastically? Is CO2 even the main greenhouse gas out there? Doesn't the climate have any natural safeguards?
I'm not a climatologist, but the lack of hard evidence and consensus on these subjects speaks volumes.

Yes. We currently emit over 100x average volcanic emissions. Volcanic CO2 has affected temperatures in the past - no reason the same amount emitted by humans wouldnt.

Lack of hard evidence? There's decades of science and thousands of published papers. There is a very strong scientific consensus. Practically every national science academy of every major country supports the theory. The vast majority of scientists in the relevant fields support it. Governments of many ideologies support it.

So now - the evidence? well it gets tough and hope you AT LEAST had some spectral absorbtion physics in high school - so google "attribution-detection of climate change" - papers are (Harries, 2001), (Griggs, 2004). (Chen, 2007), (Wang, 2009), (Evans, 2006) - good tough reading!

Try scientific journals. They are full of them. You could even try the IPCC reports. AR4 WG1 is probably what you're after.
Again, saying there's no evidence doesn't mean there is none - it just means you havent looked.
Just out of interest, there are very few double blind studies or experiments in astronomy too, would you suggest it is unscientific also? Obviously, some systems are too large to experiment on.

There are several papers with estimates of volcanic emissions - Im fairly sure even the USGS has one. You could also look at Kerrick (2001) or Moerner and Etiope (2002). CO2 resulting from fossil fuel burning is available from the EIA. Then do the math.
Or compare Pinatubo (Gerlach et al 1996) to human emissions that year (CDIAC).

@gaboonviper1000 (i) No climate does not have any natural safeguards beside "warming". The safeguard is the "natural decrease of CO2 levels" which is around 8 Gt/y (maximum) while we emitt 30 Gt/y.
Other GHG such as water vapour play a role - however it has NO FREEWILL and just adjusts to levels of energy given by other parameters.
Lack of hard evidence? ??? minimum arctic sea ice ever? unprecedented glacier melt? hottest decade ever? warming oceans? species migration? dude!!!

The warming is driven by greenhouse gases because (1.1) there is no increase in solar output over the last 40years (1.2) Warming occurs mostly in polar areas (which get the least sun) (1.3) No increase in day/night temperature difference; (1.4) The top layer of the atmosphere cooled down but the troposphere warmed (if it would have been the sun both would have warmed). => It is NOT the sun - also not volcanoes (whose emissions are small&have not increased.
