  • nice video baz! Do you suggest to change weights with every set? or stick to one?

  • @dotagodsy - no I would stick to one weight. By the time you get to the 5th or 6th set you should really struggle to complete the reps. If you are able to finish without a real struggle then you are starting too light. Baz

  • hi Baz ..love the videos extremely helpful..was just wondering if i am working say my biceps..how many different exercises should i be doing roughly within this one workout for just biceps..thanks alot

  • @omghesmwi - I would do this as the main exercise or as a superset to say standing bicep curls (my favourite) I think 5/6 sets is enough if you superset the last set. Baz

  • Great vid baz!

  • @purexquisite - thanks a ton for that. Baz

  • I love this exercise...one of the best in my arsenal. Keep up the good work! awesome vids! subscribed. Best regards from BC,Canada.

  • @remuscsu - it is a good age to build a great foundation. I will send you some info. Baz

  • @BazBlog its very interesting what you are teaching here sir...very helpful...thanx...

  • @G0BLIN1000 - I am pleased you like it. Baz

  • easily the greatest bicep exercise i have ever tried, i did a routine of 9 sets, could not move my arms afterwards

  • @VigisKane - yes it can be a killer if you over do it. Baz

  • BAZ - U DA MAN!!!!

  • @NeXtGenRacer - thanks that is a wonderful compliment. Baz

  • Basil can u help me with a training plan? I just dont know how to combine the muscle groups and set them on certain days. Btw ive been training every bodypart once a week and would love to do so in the future too. U`ll probably ask for my age which doesnt rly matter cuz ive been training just like an average adult.Appreciate it.

  • @remuscsu - I would love to help you with a plan. That fact that you have been training like an adult is not the problem. Your bone ends are soft when you are young and get harder the older you get. If you push heavier weights too soon you can cause yourself a lot of harm and I really do not want to be a part of that. I prefer to try and help people and not give information that will harm them and that is why I need your age. Baz

  • dude u rock greetings from Pakistan....

  • @ontfr - thanks a ton for the comment. Baz

  • i remember when i tried this workout last couple months ago! it really works. its amazing. gave me a good pump and everything! and guess what, i was even sore the next day!!! wow! i cant even remember the last time before that when my biceps were sore! amazing workout

  • @Ru55ianGrim - that is so good to hear. I am really pleased for you. It means that because of the change you have made it has caused the muscles to adapt and micro tear. Brilliant for you my friend. Baz

  • @BazBlog I'm 15 n thank u ur videos really help

  • @DetroitCitySports - Ok that is fine I will send you a plan. Baz

  • Nice one Baz, been looking for different ways to train biceps, will give this a whirl

  • @KevinJKtheman - good luck with it. I hope it will continue to work for you. Baz

  • @BazBlog Thank you Baz, I finished off my workout with 21s last night, and I have to say my bi ceps felt blasted afterwards, it really seemed to wake them up. I shall continue checking you out for ideas and inspiration

  • @KevinJKtheman - that is a great way to do it. That is what I often do. Thanks so much for your support. Baz

  • This is the truly great workout! For me it is really hard to get biceps for some reason, and I have done this and you can see the result in just few weeks.

  • @Theaikro - that is fantastic to hear. I am so pleased it is working for you. Eat right too that makes a huge difference. Baz

  • mate just face it, there is a right way of training and then theirs a wrong way of training now... nah just f**king with ya :P

  • @jamesarongray -:-) I have found what I do works for me. I think everyone should do what they believe works best for them. Baz

  • Do u think u can send me ur training plan??

  • @DetroitCitySports - sure I would love to. Just let me know how old you are and I will send you the right stuff for your age. Baz

  • @BazBlog when should we do this exercise? Is it at the beginning of exercise or at the end?

  • @ronaldinding - I like to do it at the end of my arm training. I will sometimes do it as the main exercise. 5/6 sets done with absolute focus gives some great results. Baz

  • What a nice bloke baz is answering everyone's questions and quality no bull shit advice much respect to you baz :)

  • @gmizzle1985 - Thanks so much that is a very kind compliment. Baz

  • You're the fuckin man dude. Thanks for the awesome video.

  • @InspectorRick - thanks. Not quite how I would say it but thanks for the compliment. Baz

  • good tips baz thanks keep them coming

  • @whitedust696 - thanks so much my friend. Baz

  • Hey my friend what is your height, weight, and body fat percentage?

  • @pavy415 - I am 5'10" and weigh around 92kgs and have not got a clue on body fat. I look in the mirror and if I like what i see I am fine if not I make changes. Baz

  • Baz, thank you for the awesome video! 21's are probably the best bicep exercise that I have done yet, those last reps really burn. I was just wondering if you could tell me what your weekly workout schedule was like. Thanks!

  • @billieve83 - pleasure my friend and yes i agree with you. They are an amazing exercise that gives a brilliant burn. I will send you my training plan. Baz

  • @BazBlog - how many set should I do with this exercise?

  • @syakirtarded - I like to do 5/6 sets if it is the main one I am doing for biceps. If it is extra to what i am doing then I make it a superset. I will then only do 2 supersets added to like preacher or concentration curls. Baz

  • Great information, thanks Baz

  • @TheIvan7770 - pleasure, thank you. Baz

  • AM ABOUT TO TRY THIS NOW! AM ALSO TURNING OFF MY CAPOS LOCK Now!

  • @MartinJFaulks - good luck with it and that is rather funny. Baz

  • @BazBlog These were great. Am going to try the same principle with squats today!

  • @MartinJFaulks - good luck with your training. Baz

  • i mjust be doing things very wrong, ive broken both my arms and scafoid a total of 6 times each arm, i cant bend my wrist as far as all of you, no matter how light or how heavy i go, i NEVER feel a burn in my bicep never ever ever only my forearm, i just cant isolate my bicep

  • @Jwalkz4192 but i heard the tricep makes up 47% of the arm so in theory if i have a big tricep i should have a decent looking bicep due to overall shape of my arm..im probably wrong but i dunno, just sucks coz i know i cant have big guns due to moovement restrictions, its hard for me to want to train my guns coz i know its waste of time baz if u can PLZ help i strongly desire biceps/lats/traps/shulders plz help

  • @Jwalkz4192 - yes the tricep makes up about 2/3rds of the arm size. You will have to work light till you get all the movements correct. I would do bench press for a good overall chest. Lat pull downs for lats and add in some shrugs for the traps. I would do light bicep curls. do them slow with a lot of concentration and focus. You will over time increase the weight. Do tricep push downs. That will help your overall arms size. Even a small movement with biceps is good. Baz

  • @Jwalkz4192 - try a preacher curl very light. Do them slow with a lot of focus. 15 reps shouild get a burn after 5/6 sets. Even if you cannot do a full movement so long as you can keep some tention on the bicep you will be doing some good. Get clearance from the Dr. Baz

  • Hey Baz, if i do for example 4 sets of EZ bar curls and 4 sets of preacher curls is that enough to hit my biceps? i do biceps and back same day.

  • @remuscsu - yes I would say so. I normally do 6 sets total for a muscle. Baz

  • Really good shape, you look better than people in the 20's and cool people like you like giving out tips. Ive been doing this excerise for a quiet long time and im stronger and bigger on biceps area :) !

  • @TheEpicShitz - that is a very kind compliment. Thanks very much and I am really pleased that you are seeing good results. Baz

  • I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!! Especially the slow controlled negatives. The negative is the most important part of the rep and is where more muscle damage occurs. GREAT TIP BAZ !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Dorian01887 - thanks so much. Yes making each rep count gets you results quicker. If people stopped worrying about how heavy they were to go and spent more time on doing it with focus there probably would be a lot less showing off and a lot bigger natural bodies. Baz

  • I'd give my left eye to be in Baz shape at 60 years...

  • @silvergun83 - that is quite a compliment. Thanks very much. Baz

  • Your comment about each of us finding the exercises that work best for ourselves very much applies to my curls in: Rather than botton-half, top-half, or full-range curls, I've found that working the mid-third works best for me. I'll do full-range on a good machine when I can, but with free weights, it's mid-third every time.

  • @lazur1 - that is great that you have found what works best for you. If you are getting results then it is right for you. Baz

  • good day! im new to this weight lifting business and this video is really helpful.thanks a lot! keep it up!

  • @ihc666 - take it slow and go light till you have your muscles conditioned so you can go heavier for more growth. Be patient and understand building muscles takes time. You have to eat really well. Baz

  • Hey hey Baz, got a arm workout tomorrow, will be doing my 21's. awesome video as always, Keep up the awesome work.

  • @DUFFYISBACK - excellent and the best of luck with your training. Baz

  • god bless you sir! keep the good videos coming! :D

  • @tzt05 - thanks very much and i will be doing more. Baz

  • I like it. I know what you mean about the EZ bar, but I prefer the straight bar as it forces me to keep my elbows in and really focus on the bicep. I just did some bicep work yesterday, but next time I go to train them i will use these, thanks

  • @boby6 - that is perfect. If a straight bar works better for you then that is what you must use. Good luck with your training. Baz

  • really work out the bicep !!!!! awesome

  • @sdjunaid - thanks so much. Baz

  • @BazBlog u r welcome :)

  • @sdjunaid -;-) Baz

  • This looks great. I'm gonna implement this into my bicep routine from now on. Thanks!

  • @corazonrendido - great and good luck with your plan. I hope you get some amazing results. Baz

  • Baz you're really great.. i mean it.. This is one of the best channels i've subscribed in youtube so far. i recommend it to all of my friends.. thank you very much for your helps !!

  • @hurleyddhurleydd - it is so nice to have people like you supporting me. I really appreciate it. Baz

  • How many sets do u do this ?

  • @punkboyz89 - I like to do 5/6 sets if this is the main exercise for my biceps. Otherwise I do it as a superset for 2 sets or so. Baz

  • Your the best!

  • @TimTom118 - Thanks so much. Baz

  • Thanks! What is the set range for this exercise?

  • @pilipino442 - I like to always do around 5/6 sets if it is the only exercise i am going to do for biceps. If I want it as an extra then i would do like 4 sets of maybe ordinary curls or hammer curls and then 3 sets of 21's. Baz

  • @BazBloI performed this exercise yesterday and I'm feeling it!

  • @pilipino442 - that is great to hear. Baz

  • Hi Baz, thanx for the help. Don't mind the negative people out there, what they say is a reflection on them, not you. Here is a variation on the 21's that has worked for me. I do the bottom half first to sort of pre-exhaust the lower biceps, then I go to the full curl; and last when the weight is at the top, I do the top down portion, because thats the strongest position and the biceps are then most fatigued.

  • @bassai2010 - thanks so much for the compliment and support. I never let others bother me. My feeling is that if they do not like what they see or hear then find another channel. The way you do 21's is fantastic and I am sure that is working really well for you. Thanks a ton for sharing that with us. Baz

  • looks like u need a lil more protein, pencil neck. i recommend some shrimp on the barbie.

  • @UltraProle21 -thank goodness I train for me and not to please you. This is my site and I really will not allow people to insult me when I am taking my time to help others. I force nothing on anyone and I would suggest you find another chanel. I did not invite you on hear and really do not need your support. I have over 10K others who are happy with this 60 year old. I hope you will be able to say the same at my age. Try helping others instead of insulting them it is very rewarding. Baz

  • @BazBlog The older generation is doing better, most of them did sports when they were young, judo and jiu jutsu for me, and now they want to get fit again. Keeps the problems away, back, neck etc.etc. Keep going mate!

  • @Tralgit - I think we should all try to stay fit. It will certainly cut back on medical costs for most govenments. Baz

  • @BazBlog

Well said. You know what you are talking about, you are a great motivator, and you seem like a fun and cool guy. Just seeing you smile makes the world ! We all love you Baz!

  • @nhlpens - thanks so much that comment means a great deal to me. I hope your training goes well. Baz

  • yhyh same here mate...your mind and body always tell you what works for you..other people just lead u on the wrong paths...they dont no how your body feels or wants u do :) good idea is that :) iv always folowed ma body

  • @steven3662 - Yes that is a great way to be. Baz

  • you do what your body feels rite too do mate :) just folow your heart :D

  • @steven3662 - I have been doing that all my life and it has worked well for me up to this date. I guess I will keep doing that for the rest of my life too. Baz

  • at the very top of the movement u can actually see your biceps relaxing for a split seconds. keep your elbows slightly further back and keep your wrists slightly bent like u wer trying to give somebody some coins but with your hands closed. this will focus the peak contraction on the biceps. other than that its refreshing to hear sum1 not advocate a training program set in stone. keep lifting

  • @simplyathers - thanks very much for your thoughts on this. I will bear that in mind. Baz

  • @BazBlog no problem its just wot i have found helped me in the past. as im sure u know its the smallest of tweaks that can get u over a plateau. happy lifting!

  • @simplyathers - Yes you are right. Baz

  • What do you think of EZbar curls with a NARROW grip??

  • @GiNoDoYlE - Yes I think they are fine. It is just another angle you are hitting the muscle. I have always believed that you need to gain size before you start to worry too much about shape. Too many people are so busy with shape that they never really get the size. That is why I do normal bicep curls most of the time and do not worry too much with all the many ways of doing bicep training. Baz

  • Hi Baz. Just seen your video for the first time. You are an absolute inspiration. Really good explaination and I am now going to watch all your other videos. TOP MAN :-)

  • @DutchTony1 - thanks so much for the comment and compliment. I really appreciate your support. Baz

  • You have to train exactly as Baz says.

  • @namespatrick - Thanks so much for your support. Baz

  • wow baz you're looking huge now compared to since when I first saw your earlier videos, keep it up

  • @KebabTitan - thanks so much for the lovely compliment. Baz

  • Nice video bro.. :)

    it helps me alot..

  • @zhalie12345 - thanks so much for the compliment. Baz

  • Thanks mate!

  • @jayantdiesh - pleasure my friend. Baz

  • go the all blecks lol

  • @MrRobz15 - I notice you go from site to site insulting the people. How sad to give some the good Australians such a bad name. I would be proud of where I come from not making silly comments like you are. By the way it is All Blacks not blecks LOL.

  • you have too train this way lol u bum he talks funny hahahahaha

  • @MrRobz15 - I train this way because it is what I choose to do. I do not train to please others. Baz

  • very helpful. and nice accent lol

  • @catalinux007leiro - thanks very much. Baz

  • how many sets? how much rest between sets? how many days rest between the next 21's?

  • @ReTardowsky - I like to do 5/6 sets with a full 1 minute rest between each set. I also never train the same muscle more than 2 times a week with at least 48 hours rest between sessions. Ie Biceps on monday and Thursday each week. Baz

  • top vid im slowing the negatives down now and seeing results

  • @vikingfreddie06 - that is so good to hear. Baz

  • this has really helped alot mate; big thanks from england!

  • @chaz1296 - pleasure my friend and I too am in England. Near Oxford. Baz

  • Thanks a lot mate, this really helps!

  • @Commando126 - pleasure my friend. Baz

  • I just started building because I need to get allot bigger for job related reasons and out of all video tutorials I prefer this vid. i find the muscles on my inner elbow seem to stiffen up and this vid adresses my problematic area and now I know I should get a ez curl bar. thanks!

  • @brandenhoy1 - that is brilliant that the video was able to help you. If I can help in any other way let me know. Baz

  • @TheFunnyMonkeyBoy - that is a good one. Baz

  • @TheFunnyMonkeyBoy - that is a good brand and well known. I usually buy form Holland and Barrett with there buy and and get one half price specials. Baz

  • @TheFunnyMonkeyBoy - I buy on price and buy one that is 80% + protein with very little carbs in it. I do not go for fancy brand names they are often very expensive and do not do a lot more then a much cheaper brand. Baz

  • I did 'em and they are no joke. Awesome workout.

  • @jarodjenkins - yes they are very effective. Baz

  • Wow, this workout IS INTENSE.

TIP: Guys make sure you do less weight than your normal Barbell Curls because the final 7 full reps will likely be hard...

I started with 55 lbs 2 sets then 45 lbs 1 set. I normally would work with 80 lb barbell.

  • @HomicidalDavid - that is very well put. Yes it is a really good one to get a great burn. Baz

  • hey Baz, do you do this for 3 sets?

    Thanks.

  • @mariveles - no for any muscle that I train I normally do 5/6 sets. I find that works best for me. Baz

  • good videos im subbing!

  • @HeartBreakDrakeFan - thanks so much for that. Baz

  • hi baz love your vids mate. what weight were those plates?

  • @uvf1platoon - thanks very much. They are very light for the video. 50lbs Baz

  • great video man, but, what IS that accent!?!?!

  • @mannnjot - thanks very much. I am Zimbabwean Baz

  • Just started doing 21's again after a while and I'm starting to see my biceps get stronger in a short period of time.

  • @sadXsad - that is wonderful. Well done. Baz

  • what does "breaking the barrier" mean?

  • @misantropicall - when you train for a while your muscles get used to the training and it is like hitting a barrier or wall. You cannot get any more results. Doing a different type of training then gets the muscle to respond so you break the barrier. Baz

  • is it right to do abs daily...........that is i do my workout in the morning i.e chest,shoulder..etc and in evening i do abdominals ..............please suggest me something that i can eat before going to gym.i prefer to go gym in the morning close to 7am

  • @rohitverma90 - Some people say you can do abs daily. I prefer to do them about 2/3 times a week. I like to have a protein shake about 30/40 minutes before I train. That is about the only food I eat before training. . Baz

  • @BazBlog thanks sir for your advice....

  • @rohitverma90 - Pleasure and good luck with your training. Baz
