  • McCain did help to stop it, he also helped bring DHL into the area. The woman who asked the question was on the conference call talking about what McCain has done about it, and calling Obama's radio ad against McCain SHAMEFUL and should be removed.

She told the press that Obama is using them to help himself politically while McCain went back to Washington to help the community.

  • MCCAIN INVOLVED WITH DHL DEAL!!

A woman asked McCain about the DHL deal that caused 8600 jobs lost in Ohio. He said he might "ask for an investigation", but then gave the woman some "straight talk" saying he probably couldn't stop it.

But McCain and his campaign manager, Rick Davis, worked to make that deal happen. Davis' lobbying firm got $100K+ for pushing the deal, and almost $500K after Congress (and McCain) passed the deal. What about that?

  • McCain LIED. He said he would "ask for investigation" the DHL deal... but McCain and his campaign manager WORKED TO MAKE THAT DEAL HAPPEN (and got over $500K for it!)!!

McCain lied through his teeth about this... what else will he lie about as President?? The man has NO CHARACTER!!

  • when has the g.o.p. helped in bringing jobs to ohio. what has that whack job jean schmidt done for this district except make it the laughstock of ohio.

  • mccain will do nothing about jobs. anyone paying attention for the last 8 years knows this.

  • LOL McCain has said he knows nothing about the economy ... it shows in his answers. Where is the MONEY to do these programs.

"Design programs for the jobs" wtf?

_How_ does that create the jobs?

Education does not create jobs on it own.

McCain's whole answer was crap, no policies on creating jobs at all.

Further his LOBBYIST campaign manager lobbied McCain and others to get the DHL through congress.

  • I'm voting for Obama.

  • Why criticize McCain's plan to bring more jobs back to industrial regions of America on the plan's merits? After all, it's much easier to point out a single offhand comment he made and tie it into his entire economic agenda. John McCain spent his life serving this country; he is close enough in touch with every day Americans that he doesn't need a Harvard degree in economics to understand the changes the American worker is going through.

  • Mccain has said he knows nothing about the economy. How can he create jobs. The people of Ohio and from my home state of PA need to say NO to the failed republican policies.
